What is it about? Due to a recent loss of the FCC against Comcast, Internet providers are now able to slow down speed to websites. Why should you care? Because most internet providers are also cable TV providers and what draws attention away from cable TV? Everything that is fun on the Internet. There are two ways how this could go:
A. They speed down everything to a crawl except their own services. Self-explanatory
B. Websites will have to pay for fast access. This sucks because small websites will be unable to afford it.

Yeah, i agree Euchale. I have been following this since before they merged with TWC. I have been dreading them merging and trying for this. All its going to do is raise the prices of the companies such as netflix. Netflix rates are already getting a price raise.

I still hate everyone in our government hahahhaha, I just think that it is unreasonable to expect things we need for survival to follow the rules of a competition economy when sold... So I think that those things should be dealt with by the people, transparently, so we can ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

It's stuff like this that scares me. I love the modern age but this seems like the first steps to making reality into a bad Orwellian knockoff. The real problem though is a lack of competition. Without it I don't think the free market is going to be able to stop this.
