Well, Ruxandra & Miranda I bought the Gnocchi in the supermarket so... I've never done them fresh, as for the preparation is pretty simple and really fast.
- big pan with olive oil and a little butter
- add chopped onion until golden, then add ground beef salt and pepper until cooked.
- add a couple of diced ripe tomatoes and when they are softened add a can of peeled tomatoes.
- turn down the heat and add a LITTLE bit of sugar about a teaspoon. stir.
- at this point you should have a pot of boiling SALTED water, add in the gnocchi, they are ready when they start to float, it's pretty fast a few mins.
- when the gnocchi are floating just laddle them out and straight into the frying pan with the sauce, let them soak in a little of the sauce, they are already cooked when you took them out of the pot.
- turn off the burner and put the lid on.
- VERY FINELY chop some basil (you can chose oregano instead) and add it in, stir a bit more to incorporate the herbs.
- serve with your favorite melty shredded cheese ( fresh mozzarella balls are INSANE with this)

Buen Provecho!! (Enjoy!!)

People, please read the first post. You should always state how you cooked it :allthethings:

Sorry, Euch. Got it from a restaurant, but at least the ingredients are straightforward from the name of you want to make it.

Also, recipes are optional according to the OP.

Now, to add to the thread, I once tried this heart stopping beauty:

Peanut butter, strawberry jam, sriracha, bacon. Sound gross? It was fantastic.

Oyster with...is that uni? And...chives and flowers? Or is that green onion? Guessing is half the fun on his pictures for me :D

Grilled oyster with uni, scallions, a flower I can't remember because dude gave me the Latin name for it, meyer lemon, and a magical blend of spices.

It was amazing - not chewy like normal grilled oysters.

This weekend was a cake-stravaganza. I posted one of these before but I changed the icing recipe a bit (added sour cream) and then I made it in different formats so...here you go!

I used a tupperware container as a makeshift cake carrier. It worked out quite well! :D

Made it for Gyoin, but might as well share it here:

704924-960x720-schweizer-wurstsalat.jpg

Wurstsalat (cut ham salad), for around 2 persons:
300g of sausage (preferably Fleischwurst, see http://www.asausagehastwo.com/2015/04/13/fleischwurst/)
200g of cheese (Edamer or Gouda)
2 pickles
1 Onion
3 table spoon vinegar
3 table spoon water
4 table spoon oil (I really like sunflower oil, but any should do)
1-2 table spoon of broth (if available)
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper
Cut the sausage, cheese and pickles into small pieces, see the picture above for reference. Add them into a bowl. Add everything except the onions to it and mix well. Slice the onions into rings and put them on top.
Eat with a good bread, it goes really well with roggenmischbrot (https://cookpad.com/uk/recipes/241652-german-sourdough-rye-bread-roggenmischbrot).

716295-960x720-murmels-nudelsalat.jpg

German Nudelsalat (Noodle salad, easy version, 4 persons)
500 g Noodles (spirals are the best)
200 g Cheese (Gouda, Edamer)
50g Peas
50g Corn
6 pickles
2 Tomatoes
200g Mayo
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 pinch of paprika powder
optional, the liquid of the pickles
Cook the noodles and put them in a bowl. Cut the Cheese, pickles and tomatoes into small pieces and add them to the bowl. Now also add the peas, corn, mayo, salt, pepper and paprika powder. Mix well. Try the taste, if you are not happy with it, add the pickle liquid. Otherwise adjust with salt, pepper and vinegar.

And now to my favorite Noodle salad:
618654-960x720-mediterraner-nudelsalat.jpg

Mediterranean Noodle Salad (slightly more complicated but tasty as fuck)
500 g Farfalle
250 g Arugula
150 g Dried Tomatoes
6 fresh cocktail tomatoes
75 g Pine seeds
100 g bacon
1 Garlic clove
3 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoon balsamico
salt and pepper
Cook the farfalle and put them in a bowl. Thinly slice the bacon and the dried tomatoes. Fry the pine seeds in a pan and add the bacon, dried tomatoes and push the garlic glove on top of it and fry it completely. Put what you get there in the bowl. Now add the Arugula, olive oil, balsamico, salt and pepper to the bowl. Mix well and enjoy!

My wife made pumpkin muffins for me for work tonight. I'll find the recipe in the morning but I wanted to at least post the picture now. We made regular (pictured) and chocolate chip.

vuBas6s.jpg

It's that time of year....so I made stuffing!!

TcBWzhV.jpg

2 Everything bagels cut into cubes
4 Pretzel buns cut into cubes
3 sausages cubed (I used chicken, mushroom, swiss, bacon Aidell's sausage)
1/2 white onion diced
1/2 cup dried cranberries
2 sweet apples cored and peeled then diced
1/3 cup diced salami (I used truffle salami but any hard salami will work)
1 bottle cider (I used Angry Orchard)
1/4 cup sherry
Butter

For the stuffing soak:
2 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup dijon mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 tbsp honey

Preheat oven at 450

1) Soak the apple and cranberries in the cider (I usually do this first so the apple doesn't change color)
2) Combine the broth, mustard, sugar and honey. I kept adding mustard and sugar until it was sweet enough for what I wanted it to be.
3) Pour the mixture over the bread cubes (preferably in a large bowl). Mix with a spatula gently to coat evenly.
4) Cut up the rest of your ingredients if you haven't already done so.
5) Saute the onion and deglaze the pan with sherry.
6) Strain the apple/cranberry mixture
7) Mix everything together in a large bowl.
8) Turn out the mixture into a large baking pan
9) Bake at 450 for 45 minutes turning the mixture with a spatula gently every 15 minutes.

The last 15 minutes is more or less for crispiness factor. If you like more crispy stuffing keep it in for another 10 min at 400 (total of 55 minutes) or feel free to remove early if you prefer it softer.

The stuffing should bake for at least 30 minutes at 450 to be fully cooked through.

Saw this on Reddit and I was impressed and disgusted all at once. It is a Bagel Bite Casserole with a deconstructed Hot Pocket reduction and a Dorito glaze.

Bread dumplings
7HfOsLF.jpg

10 buns, preferably these (http://baeckerei-denk.de/produkte/kleingebaeck/images/Sternsemmel.jpg), but works with any kind of white bread (2 baguettes should work just as fine)
4 eggs
1/2 tablespoon flour
1/2 tablespoon breadcrumbs
200 ml milk
1/2 a onion
a little bit of parsley

cut the onion into small pieces and fry them until they are brown (not like glass, brown). Cut the parsley and the buns. Add everything from above in a bowl and mix very well. I tend to let it settle for a 5 minutes to make sure that al of the bread is mixed, and mix withing these 5 minutes too.
Form dumplings with your hands, or if you are a weakling use a spoon.
Drop them in hot water that is NOT boiling, if it boils they will break apart.
Once they float they are done, if they float when you put them in, give them around 10 minutes and maybe turn them around.
Take them out and drip off excess liquid, as an alternative to the plate that I show above, you could just use a towel and put them there. This is a crucial step, as they will be better at sucking in gravy/sauce if you do that.
Eat them with plenty of gravy/brown sauce. They don´t work really well with tomato sauce or any kind of white sauce.

Prep Time: about 5 minutes
Cook Time: about 15 minutes

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound of ground turkey (or your ground meat of choice)
  • 1/2 cup green beans
  • 1/2 cup corn
  • 1/2 cup brown rice
  • Multigrain chips (any will do)
  • Guacamole (I cheat and buy instead of making my own lol)
  • 1/4 packet of taco mix
  • Shredded cheese (optional)
Directions
  1. Brown meat in a pan on medium heat
  2. Boil green beans and corn in a separate pot for about 7 minutes
  3. Once meat is browned, add taco mix
  4. Drain beans and corn
  5. Mix beans and corn into meat
  6. Stir for about two more minutes
  7. Place mixture on top of rice (add more or less rice to your liking). I cook rice in a cooker since I use it in many recipes
  8. Add chips and guacamole to the side. Shredded cheese on top is optional
  9. DONE!
