Event Prep Fractals for Everyone!!

So what we have decided to do here is, until they fix the disconnects in Fractals and the such. We are going to setup a day in the upcoming weekends at 7PM eastern where us officers will be helping all of the members get into a Fractal Run to learn the ropes!

We will be taking our time and not worrying about loot or drops, but explaining bosses, getting achievments and running level 1 fractals for everyone.

If you are lower than level 80 you can do the first half Level 1 Fractal, after that you will need to be 80 to continue. This will be a great way to get everyone together to play and enjoy fractals and a way for those of us who have had more experience to help you break into it!

The only issue I have with this is the randomization of fractals. What is group A gets Dredge, Cliffside, and Harpies when the other gets Swamp, Underwater, and blizzard? It's kinda hard to determine a race when the paths can be so unequal.

Well the fun of it is the randomness. Rising to the challenge! Also teams will be random.
 
I could see this as a good event for helping people who haven't done fractals / need some advice on fractals to get going though. Explain the process as it continues. I mean I could lead a low level group who hasn't done it before (and do it legit without glitches). You could lead another if enough for two groups is interested. Even those who aren't 80 could join in on a level 1 run. We could also show the process of finding a group as well, be it in guild and gw2lfg. This will help a lot of the fresher 80's and those looking for something new to do. Also teaches good etiquette.

Agreed! Any level can join in on this event.
 
I'm looking forward to it. I've been considering putting together an all guild fractals group that would be willing to start at the low levels. This is even better.
 
Assign points for each fractal type. 1 for the easiest up to 6 for the hardest or whatever. Then its not just how many you do its also how hard each one is. The group with the most points at the end wins.

Hmm, this would be a decent workaround for a "fractals tourney". But I still like a teaching day of Fractals over the tourney for now. I'm actually really excited to play low levels with new people, instead of just "RUSH TO FINISH/EXPLOIT AND ZOMG IGOT TERRIBLE LOOTZ"
 
I'm still level 1 fractals. All three times I tried to go, my group bailed or dc'd before we could finish any 3 parts.

GET THAT LAPTOP. I'll bring you up. Plus next update will fix this, as you can choose any level that anyone has unlocked in your group. If you play at a level higher than your current, you gain a level. If you play at a level LOWER than your current, you get a karma boost/loot bonus or something along those lines. After that update I will be even more inclined to helping lowbies.
 
I would love to get into a fractal group. I was wondering how I would be able to get going since I'd be starting at level 1. I'd much rather do them with the guild than try to find random people. I can play most nights starting at about 9pm central.

Sadly 9PM central means bed time for me. But I'm sure there are others that will assist you!

Oh yes, sign me up :D

But yeah, as a side note, I judge the people who don't clear the Jade Sea fractal...damn noobs...you get the best loot from there and from the Urban fractal in my experience.
