GW2 Gathering Tools

I will accept any and all mail donations. They might not make it to the guild bank and will be used towards leveling my crafts tho >_>

Edit : this includes all raw materials and salvageable items. Nothing will go to waste. Nothing will be used for personal gain.

I'm definitely all for this. I have never been into crafting since it does take so much dedication to something I find quite boring. But to have members like Gyoin who will be primary crafters means I can now have access to all the sweet shit that comes from crafting! Therefore, I will be hitting every node I see and passing it on for our Crafter's use. Winning!

This is always appreciated. I already know I will be working the ah hard and will end up paying for most, if not all of my skill gains personally. Any donations / contributions will be appreciated and, eventually, rewarded =)

For those who want to donate to people/guild:
The guild bank will be at the same place as the personal bankers, but off to the side. Once we get him unlocked you should be able to deposit straight to him while in town. Until then items can be mailed to other people at anytime you are not in combat.

Many of us are going to be focusing on crafting, but I would suggest to only send stuff to officers who will be more likely to put the materials to helping the guild.

This is true. Our guild bank unlocking will take about 2-3 weeks, so until then you can hold onto mats at your own leisure. :)

So what does it take to unlock the guild bank? Do you as a guild member have to do/collect stuff or does the GM have to collect gold and pay for it? Sorry for the question put I have not played the game yet.

Just a thought, I've found it helpful in some guilds (especially with dedicated crafters) to stock the gathering tools in the guild bank - once its unlocked. The starting level tools are relatively cheap anyways and this is a good way to ensure there are no excuses about doing this. I realize no one is going to force members to gather, but if we are able to start alts/new members (or members hitting the next tier in terms of gathering tools) with a set of tools, it makes sense that everyone should be able to contribute.

Also will help with those too "lazy" to go and find the tools from vendors themselves.

Gyoin - if this is an idea you like, I can take on the responsbiliity of keeping the tools stocked. Just let me know

I will probably be tossing all my mats because I hate a full bag...

For those who don't know, if you right click on an item and chose deposit collectible it goes to a separate tab in your bank that is just for mats. Use that feature and you will not have bags or bank tabs full of crafting mats.

I have a question related to this. During the BWE I got a Black Lion Trading Company Salvage Kit. Now.. should I be saving these uses for stuff that specifically has upgrades or will using it on anything give me better mats? Is it a good idea to have some of both.

Yes...If you come across a rare or upgrade you really enjoy using and then you upgrade your weapon..you don't want to chance losing it.
