This is a good little read:

I found this level map interesting:

I'm kinda thinking of hitting all the 1-15 level areas first and build up some xp and trait points.

so correct me if im wrong....but it looks like the asura and sylvari areas(far left of the map)....consist of Rata Sum, Sylvari capital, and two shared leveling areas, a 1-15 area, and a 15-25 area....then it looks like they join up with the humans in kessex hills

Yep. But you are forgetting you can find your way out of there if you dont feel like levelling there.

If I remember correctly, I read that the zones are designed that even if you follow your own race's zones, ANet forces everyone together around 25-30 through zone levels and personal story quests.
Cool design, in my opinion.

It seems like there is atleast 2 zones for each of the level groups (so like 1-115, 15-25, 25-40, etc.) which should provide a nice variety of areas to explore across the hope leveling experience and break up the linearity of the progression.

ITS A FLOW CHART!!!!! Not as good as Gyoin's tho :(

this is the flow chart, if you followed your races quest line, personal story....it looks from about 70+ is when all races will be together....however Norn and Charr can level with their races only completely up to 70....whereas Human, Sylvari, and Asura will be leveling together from 25-80

of course you don't HAVE to follow the path...if your an asura, and you want to level with norns, or charr...you can...you may have to go back to other zones to complete your personal story though

also...there is a 1-15 sylvari zone right above their city, according to IGN's interactive map:

Oh, that's interesting that the Norn and Charr are kind of separated. Maybe the story will have the races mesh more that what it seems like from the maps. If not then that probably means better replay value (if you don't travel to other areas).
