So, with Halo 4 coming up I am wondering... What is your favorite Halo game?

Personally the best Halo to me was... *drum roll* Halo 2.
To me Halo 2 had an amazing campaign (which I heard a lot of people disliked the campaign, but whatever), and not only my personal favorite campaign, but definitely was the best for online matchmaking.
The Battle Rifle was a godsend if you could do all the little tricks correctly such as the BXR.
And there is nothing more satisfying then no-scoping someone right in the face (all Halos have this but, Halo 2. Just loved it)

Halo 1 was quite alright in combat evolved for the PC, but I didn't play that as much because during its time I was a little young and lost interest. However going back to Halo 1 on the PC when I was a little older I appreciated it a bit more, and definitely loved the campaign.

I even really enjoyed Halo 3, and loved the campaign. But, Halo 3 was the last one I can truly call Halo as the rest morphed into current FPS by incorporating the idea of having perks, etc (Halo Reach).
But, this isn't a bad thing. I had a lot of fun in Halo Reach, especially with the forge kicked up to a whole new level (couldn't stand Halo 3's, got so frustrating).
Not to mention I also enjoyed the campaign of Halo Reach.

Now, with Halo 4 coming out pretty shortly I am a little excited as I turn the blood in my body to game fuel to get that double exp, my other question is, will anyone be getting it?

I am a little nervous as to how Halo 4 will turn out. But nevertheless I am a Halo fanboy, so I have to at least check it out.

Personally, it was Halo 2 as well. I did waste COUNTLESS hours in Halo 3's multiplayer though. Didn't even bother to try ODST or Reach cause I heard they were kinda the blorst of all things. I don't even play xbox anymore, only kept it around for GoW 3 and yea lol. Still deciding wether or not to give Halo 4 a go, kinda want to, kinda don't.

Halo is my favorite game series of all time (the only game that beats them individually is Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, but I digress). I played Halo 1 and 2 mostly when I was younger. Whoever my mom dated would always seem to have a boyfriend with a son in the 18-25 range, and I would more often then not end up playing Halo with them. The 360 was the first console I purchased on my own, and Halo 3 was the first game I bought for it. I didn't get LIVE until a year later, however, so I ended up playing campaign and Forge a lot. When I did get LIVE, I played Halo 3 to death, and then ODST (which still has one of the best atmospheres of any game I've ever played). Naturally, I got very excited for Reach. I was first in line at the local Gamestop (I waited 10 hours, worth every minute). Reach was my most played game until I started playing PC games a lot. Now that I've migrated to PC, my Xbox has gathered a lot of dust, but I know that Halo 4 will sway me to give it some more love.

2 was my favorite. Could never get into the others (mostly because they stopped making them for the PC after 2). It was never the same without Blood Gultch. I'm thinking about getting 4 to see what's it's going to be like with Bungie not making it this time (even though all the enemies from the trailers look like space pirates from Metroid).

My favorite was Halo Wars - mainly to point and laugh at the people who bought it...
After Halo 3 I stopped caring about the series, though I played ODST just for Nathan Fillion.
Disclaimer: I have never owned an Xbox or Xbox 360.

You didn't like Halo Wars? Man, that is the best Console RTS in my opinion. And there's no shame in owning a 360, a Wii, or any console. There are great games for each. Variety is the spice of life, right?

Halo 2 or 3 I think for me.

Though the enemy snipers on the legendary difficulty setting for Halo 2 were pure bullshit.

Never owned an xbox or xbox 360 either. Though I could school anyone I knew in Halo. Cept one guy. He later went into MLG.

o_O

I loved Halo 1 2 and 3, but Halo 3 took the cake for me. I've played custom games over and over with my cousin and friends. Nothing better than Duck hunt and Trash compacter with 16 random people.

I also used to mod Halo 1 maps for the PC back in the day. Twas fun...I miss them days. :{

I've been seeing the advertisements for an xbox 360 for 99 dollars. I've never owned an xbox and was thinking of buying one for Halo 4. Not sure. I need to be convinced though. SOMEONE CONVINCE ME.

I can tell you that Halo 4 will be awesome, I should know having worked on it. As for a reason to buy an Xbox Gyoin, there are a couple right off. Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, ESPN sports coverage(like all the games in all the sports), AAA titles that are console only (Like Halo 4), and game demos.

I have a PS3, so those things don't really affect me. Same access without the monthly xbox fee. Only thing is console exclusives, and still not really sold on that.

Ah yeh, if you already have a PS3 then its a hard sell. if your just looking to play exclusives then you might want to check if you can get a preowned or refurb for cheap. Although $99 is still pretty cheap. What about a Wii U?

I got a wii, again only use it for exclusives. Caroline would be mad if I bought a 350 dollar console. She already said no to the 360, BUT SHE CAN'T CONTROL ME.

Halo 4 is being made by 343 Industries instead of Bungie. While I love Bungie to death (even more than I love ANet, sorry it's true), 343 is a worthy company to succeed Bungie in making Halo games. I've heard 343 Industries called Microsoft's Halo factory, but this negative image of assembly line game making is an unfair assessment of the studio. 343 Industries WAS created specifically to continue the Halo franchise, however, its employees are mostly ex-Bungie employees (such as Frank O'Connor) and Halo fans (343 is responsible for the Halo community 360 app, Halo Waypoint). The people who work on Halo 4 love the series as much as fanboys like me, so I have no doubt that they'll show respect and display ingenuity in regards to the storied franchise. I'm very much looking forward to Halo 4, and would love for more people to experience it.

Nooooo! Odds are its a 4G HD that wont hold more than a demo or two.

The reviews are coming, the reviews are coming! 9.8 from IGN, 4.5 from G4, 9 out of 10 from gamespot... Seems like it's getting positive reviews, Ooh, I'm excited now. If I can get the money, I am definitely doing midnight release next Monday.

So, anyone in the guild have the game? I've been playing a lot lately (beat the campaign on normal within the first 24 hours). And would love to jump into multiplayer or co-op campaign with any of you guys.

My gamertag (if anyone even cares) is Ultra CHEZ
(big shock, I know).
