What's new

I woke up in a new Lycati

Hey, it's just harmless questions. Is not like people are forced to answer. I also asked the magic one because we talked about magic the other day... it's not my fault I'm a curious guy.
I blame ducks. You set a bar that must be reached now.

I have one, and my friend just got a baby. Mine is going on 16 years, only about 60 left in it. I would say he's about 50 to 60 lbs right now. He chases us around the yard if he thinks we have food for him.

That's kind of awesome. I don't have enough room for a tortoise, but that'd be amazing. Id be worried about it in the winter, though.

Would it hibernate? Kind of a bummer not to have a pet for several months.

Edit: Also, sorry, Lycati. These intro threads usually end up high-jacked.

Not really hibernate just retreat to a burrow during the colder parts of the day.

Arizona ftw. Actually I put it in the garage when it gets below 40 at night. He does hibernate for the winter and at our last place he dug a burrow and stayed in there all winter. Adults usually dig burrows to escape the extreme heat/cold and a small tunnel is only 8 feet. Some have been known to go for up to 30 feet.

That's awesome. There was a rep from Zoo Med at a turtle talks I went to at the Miami reptile expo. He was showing slides of his yard and how he had it sectioned off for the 4 that he had. He also lived in AZ.

Yeah, I think that size of turtle would not be happy around here. Maybe a small turtle that can always be indoors for me.

I do this all the time... nothing beats hiding underground when you've pissed someone off.
When you can solo a Trondomire with a full tank Gragas you don't NEED holes... or roads for that matter.
