Real Life IRL get togethers part II Vegas Vacation

I like GOOOOOLLLLD!
We have the Foxwoods meetup coming at the end of the month and there has been talk about doing a vegas trip. With vacations for this year being mostly spent already and the holiday season getting into full swing this meetup will need to be sometime next year. Also some of us need to schedule some vacation for it very soon if we want to commit.

So... For those who are interested in a Vegas meetup, when would be the best time for you next year?

If you want to come, please post what would be a good time. Remember Vegas is in the desert so summer would be hella hot. Spring and/or Fall would be my suggestion because winter we run into the holidays again for people to try to work around.

When you suggest a time lets try to put a month and maybe if you want to have it at the middle, beginning or end. From there we can pick a date.

Suggestions:
T1G: anytime works for me I can get there in 2hrs. Prefer weekends.
Dash: anytime and can maybe get 2 for 1 tickets to a show
Rux: weekends and said she will do sex stuff with roasty.
Gyoin: weekends in jan, feb, not march, or april.
Roasty: probably willing to drive there when we go
Downer Dan: hates planes
 
In for Vegas.

Anytime also works for me. 4.5 hours out. Know a lot of locals out in Vegas too, so depending on what the plans are (if there are any), might be able to get a hook up or two.

Any day/month/time. It's all the same to me. :)
 
I've never been so I'm kind of down. Weekends are pretty much the only option for me though. I prefer not Memorial Day weekend since that's going to be the NJ Get Together. Which... I suppose I should post about in its own thread :x
 
Hmm. I can see a long weekend between January and February as a possibility. I have PAX in March, so April would work as well. Granted I would require Tig's help on transportation, but would be more than willing to share rooms with people if the Mrs. doesn't come along. If she does, then I have a lot of money issues to worry about and may not be able to afford it. But we shall discuss that at a later time.

it looks like an eight hour drive from where I'm at so I could probably make it depending on the days and if there are people to share a room with. It also depends on how many 21+ things you guy would want to do too, because I'd feel terrible if you guys didn't do what you want because of my age.

So yeah. depends!

There are plenty of non 21 things to do there, and I am not a huge gambler. Although they can be expensive the shows are awesome in Vegas. Also there are the "free" shows along the strip like treasure island, bellagio fountain, mirage fountain, etc.
 
Oh, and if money is looking alright, I'd love to go to Vegas. Probably won't know until after year-end annual reviews are done for work though, so... likely in february I'd know if it's feasible. It'd be a blast though!
 
I like the idea of april. it gives people time to get money and vacation days together. We will nail down a date next Monday before the podcast so everyone has some time to chime in if/when they want to go.
 
On the shows tangent...

Depending on the show, and how far in advance I know, I might be able to swing 2-for-1 tickets.

Still means shelling out $90 a piece.

Can definitely do that with Le Reve though.
 
I saw Blue Man Group when I was in Vegas. It was awesome. I would see it again...
 
I saw Blue Man Group in Boston, they were great. Once you folks settle on a month I will be able to go along with it. As long as its before November 29th(thats the day my vacation picks are due).
 
I would like to set a date for it this coming week. I am leaning towards end of april unless people have objections or more input.
 
Ok guys the 29th is fast approaching. Are we doing Vegas or not? If not are we doing anything else? Gonna put my vacation picks in in a few days.
 
I think the consensus was that the end of April would be the best. Sat and Sun the 27th and the 28th is the last weekend there.

Unless anyone has a problem with that lets set that date.
