What's new

It's official

Great minds think alike Gyoin. Really what we need is the definition of the word forever as applied to this scarf style, by the one who named it. Otherwise we are both right and both wrong and no one wants that. Its a Schrödigers argument.

I love how we are talking about a scarf right now

When I stay up to late I have a singular talent for derailing threads.

If someone were to coin to me the term "forever", I would be thinking of it's existence to be here forever. If it were, say, an "infinity" scarf, that would be closer to describing the scarf in my ideology in a fashion sense than forever.

Ah, but when anyone uses a term that can be interpreted more than one way, my mind tries to think of all the ways it can go. It gets me in trouble a lot cause I try to "help" the person find the most correct way of saying what they mean instead of letting them assume others will understand them.

Mostly I keep my mouth shut. Unless I have stayed up too late and need to have a semantics war with my good friend. -brucethumbsup-

Ps. I love that I can post Gyoin memes at Gyoin.

Just throwing it in here, but they are called infinity scarves because they form a loop... So they go on for infinity times infinity to the infinity power (so you know... Infinity).

But there are infinity scarves and there are forever scarves. And then there's this fucking thing.

He does need someone to tell him when a collar on a jacket or shirt is too big. he can't seem to tell when enough is enough when it comes to collars. Or maybe its a scarf?

The fact that you don't know that is a scarf means I am winning the fashion game.[DOUBLEPOST=1421694080,1421694043][/DOUBLEPOST]
But that theory is more of understanding the unknown, rather than a clarification of the misunderstood.

We can decipher if the scarf is forever, as it is materialistic and in our hands and not an unknown factor. It's merely the interpretation of "forever" that we need to identify, rather than that the scarf defining forever.

WTF IS HAPPENING MY BRAIN!!!!!!!!!! ITS A FUCKING SCARF!!!!

The inverse of infinity is zero.

I.... uh....

Ok, you win.[DOUBLEPOST=1421698967,1421698888][/DOUBLEPOST]

I actually didn't know it was a scarf for the longest time. I thought it was sweater foreskin. I had trouble making fun of it, because it actually looks good and I kinda want one.

Yeah I keep looking for the lol button! Dunno why it got removed.
It will be back!!!

Well... not really.
Zero is a finite amount, while it is a very abstract in theory amount, it is extremely finite.
Infinity is special is that it is not a number but a concept an abstract and ever changing, most importantly increasing concept.

There may be a word for the opposite of infinity, but I don't know of it.
The closest I can come up with is fantasy / sci-fi evil.
The "great evil" is always one which seeks to end all life, existing or future, to essentially cancel the infinite expansion of life, thus it is the nearest opposite to infinity. Something which tries to become completely negative, erasing everything, even possibility.

The opposite of infinite is finite, so any number
