I personally thought the man of steel was garbage, so yeah. But it really depends on who they get for batman because if it is the one where they fight, it would have to be someone older, not to mention the fact that christian bale's contract to be the batman is up.
They would really need a "Dark Knight" style of Batman for it. You can't have the happy-go-lucky George Clooney type alongside Superman or they wouldn't contrast enough.

I have mixed feelings about a live action movie version of a Batman/Superman fight. It works in the comics because some things are left to the imagination and you can BELIEVE that Batman has a fighting chance, and cartoons have more suspension of belief built in. Usually, Batman is portrayed a little stronger and quicker when alongside Superman or Wonder Woman, so even though Batman staggers when a thug punches him, Superman isn't able to shrug off a bat-boot to the face.

I may be one of the few people that doesn't like Batman, excluding the Dark Knight Returns. I also can't stand Superman, but that's kind of a given. He has his place, but damn is it a boring one. I don't think a Batman-Superman mashup is a good idea at the moment. I feel like it's impossible to make a good group hero movie. The Avengers was great the first time around, but re-watching it I just can't get behind how clustered it felt. :/

I think they should try and bring more of the serious/underappreciated characters into the movie world, even though I know that doesn't bring in the $$ like the big names do. DC really sucks at making movies, though, so I think they should just stick to cartoons and comics until they get their shit together.

P.S. I think Christian Bale was an awful Batman, and those movies make me sad. (Detective my ass!)

You mean like moonknight? Now that would be a kickass movie.

Moonknight would be a great way to combat the Dark Knight trilogy, in my opinion. As far as DC goes I would put forth Deadman. That has enough supernatural/grittiness to appeal to a wide enough audience while still having a good feel for the fans, hell it could even dip into the horror genre. Also Deadman is fucking awesome and deserves a movie.

Or... you know... just this exactly...

I actually thought Avangers was really great and hasn't lost anything to me with additional viewings.

I think a Justice League movie would be much harder. The DC characters are more powerful and less accessible, so it would be even harder to get audiences to care and not have it turn into a mindless CGI fest. Really, though, I think the A list DC characters are too flat. Marvel does a better job of giving their heroes real life problems, like Spider-Man's social ineptness and Iron Man's alcoholism.

I still have an original mint in the sealed black bag death of superman issue. I got it at face value and it rocketed up to about $250 a few months after it came out. Then they brought superman back and it lost tons of value. Just looked it up 15 to 25 bucks on ebay.

You had to know that was inevitable. No one stays dead in comics, regardless of how impossible their return may be. There's always a mistake, a clone, another dimension, time travel, or a complete universe reset.

fixed your sentence for you. One of the other reasons that I dislike dc. Marvel has killed off quite a few people who have stayed dead. The closest you get to them coming back is alternate reality versions who don't stick around for long.

Don't say that. They NEED to bring back Peter Parker.

Not all marvel characters stay dead. Jean grey keeps coming back. Although they keep making it clear the original jean grey is dead. I think they even dug up her corpse a few years ago and showed it was totally decayed and stuff.

spiderman spoiler
I actually like the way they been going with spiderman. A more brutal, more effective spiderman is kinda cool in my book. They actually left the door open for peter to come back then they kinda slamed it shut on people. I laughed cause it was all these people speculating on how he would come back and take back over his brain, then they deleted him like they were saying "what now fanboys?"

Unlikely with the new spiderman. You can only recreate that in your dreams now Tr1age.

nope. the phoenix just likes redheaded psychics from earth. If it can't find one it will settle for another psychic. Or lately, just any mutant.
