They made it seem as though the entirety of the population was infected; I imagine something like this would require a worldwide dispersal system. I suppose it is possible that a small percentage would have a genetic immunity though.. that could be interesting. As I have read in another thread, I wonder if ALL of them drank the everlast elixir, I mean, it had to be a couple or at least one to refuse to drink it? I really hope in the elder game we discover a "healthy" Mordesh!

Yeah, you are right, they made it so it said the whole population trusted him and drank it, but I am so curious to see how the originally looked :>
Ganali device would be most efficient. I've talked about this elsewhere also, but I find it completely possible that healthy Mordesh exist.
The origins of the infection do not appear to be on their home planet. Is it possible that every Mordesh on every planet or out exploring somewhere all took the elixir before the negative effects became evident? I'm not sure they would have been time to manufacture and spread such an amount. It doesn't appear that the infection is contagious but rather caused by direct ingestion of the elixir. I'm assuming they were a reasonably prolific race and not all contained on one planet, which seems to be the case.
If untainted Mordesh exist, I expect to see them allied with the Dominion as originally intended, most likely hating their "imperfect" brethren and wishing to wipe them out. After all, they are described as among the most beautiful in the cosmos. I'm sure they wouldn't want the embarrassing alchemical mistake marring their image of perfection.
That is a very good thought, would be most likely aswell. I mean if there is perfect Mordesh out there I too believe they would rather go with the Dominion due to the fact that the exiles are underdogs and "ugly" kinda.

Until the last century, the Mordesh of planet Grismara had a flourishing civilization whose refinements in alchemy made them the envy of the galaxy. Having attracted the attention of the Dominion and been invited to join, their ongoing success was all but inevitable.
It doesn't mention whether or not Grismara is their homeworld but I think it's safe to assume from that wording that only the Grismaran Mordesh were invited into the Dominion. I am also under the impression that Grismara is, indeed, their homeworld. I'm sure there are some that refused the elixir, but I'm fairly certain it is a very small number. If there happen to be more Mordeshi civilizations then I don't think that they're too connected, I mean, if your PLANET of brilliant alchemists were getting slaughtered/eaten/gibbed in general do you just say, "eh, we can find more.."?
I dunno, I hope they don't get cured though. They have a cool Dark Eldarish doom-vibe. Fighting tooth and nail against their fates, even though it's still slowly encroaching upon them.
Looking at them, I don't think there's any coming back from that. If I were them, I'd be more concerned their eventual extinction. It may be that they can reproduce, though. If so, I'd expect the infection to pass to the children just to keep continuity. The kind of alchemical meddling they were involved in most likely effected their DNA at a basic level, so generational passage wouldn't be out of the question.
The reason I'm not sure about Grismara being the homeworld is the name. Earthlings come from earth, martians from mars, Mordesh from Grismara? Wouldn't they be Grismarans?
Yeah but you call yourself a human right? And martians call themselves barsoomian, so maybe they are grismaran but call themselves mordesh. Sorry for no caps, too lazy on the phone. The reason I'm not sure about Grismara being the homeworld is the name. Earthlings come from earth, martians from mars, Mordesh from Grismara? I'll still hold out hope there are uncontaminated specimens around somewhere. I just love the lore possibilities it would open up.
