Motion Sickness & Video Games

I happened across a video today by a girl gamer conducting an experiment on motion sickness. While her video isn't terribly entertaining, it is really interesting (to me) because I suffer from this condition... severely. I cannot participate in FPS games, IMAX movies, or really anything where the camera pans too quickly. Tristan finds these vulnerabilities particularly advantageous when I'm annoying him on the live stream. ;)

But seriously, it sucks... and I thought posting these videos might help any of you who may suffer from the same problem. I hadn't heard about taking Ginger Root as a solution, and I like that all natural route. The young lady in the video can survive Planetside with nothing for about 30 minutes before getting terribly ill. For me, I could barely watch her video snippets without feeling nausea swell... but, I am at home sick today too.

Just from past experience, I know that I can manage about 5-15 minutes in a given situation before my body reacts.
Hope you find these videos interesting and helpful! I did. :)

Wristbands barely made any difference. I don't really see how they're supposed to help so I guess the result isn't very surprising.
Good to at least see you can do some things to help with sickness. I know I get car sickness on occasion and it suuuuucks; I'd hate to have it for playing video games.

Yeah and you would think screen size might make a difference but even a console game hooked up to a small TV affects me. Was so mad when I couldn't play grand theft auto back in the day.
