GW2 My hour and a half of jumping puzzle PAIN

You recorded it ALL? :eek:

This puzzle wasn't as rage-inducing to me as it was to many other I know, but I still did it once and never again. That bar and block you mention in the try right before you made it is the hardest part I think.
An achievement to remember though.

It made me smile to see you complete this, and the reaction... and I'm now going to try again since my rage pool has been depleted from earlier. I shall do this... If you don't hear from me again, it was this puzzle's fault.

I did it on my Mesmer. After many many hours I DID IT. Wait til an overflow server empties is my advice - we had our own ARX overflow shard for the evening.

Took me about an hour and a half the first time, then I completed it four times straight without falling. My only downfall was not realizing I made it to the clock too early and tried to jump in it before the portal was available. My advice, just keep trying with a cool head. Learn each bit as you do it and memorize where the jumps work best. When jumping onto broken stairs, always jump to the outside as it hangs out farther. Stop on skinny poles, re-position, then continue. On the first disk, learn the timing for the next part of the puzzle and jump right when the screen shakes, it'll shave about 2 seconds off your time and allows you to breathe a bit (also gets you ahead of the pack). And be nice to your fellow jumpers. Many will be pissed, but words of encouragement to one another will keep morale high. :)

took me about 5 hours and 2 hrs of that was after being up for a full 24 hrs. I had fun the whole time especially every time I started making progress.

As gyoin said, on the part at the begining where you stop and wait, as soon as the "explosion" starts and the screen shakes jump forward and start. it gives you a big jump on the pack and makes it a million times easier to get through to the next part.

Yep, once I figured this out, I started making significant progress. I finally got it after who knows how many hours. It's an evil puzzle but I'll admit I had fun trying, and it was extremely gratifying to complete. :)

If you watch the last 5 minutes of the video, this is how everyone acts when they finally get it. Super dejected and dead inside until you get close to that last stair. Then hope rises and you get excited. Then you get anxious about not missing the final jump. then you make it and throw your hands in the air and scream.

I did NOT have fun on this puzzle, but after 2h of fail on Saturday, I ran out of rage. From then on it was...tolerable. Thanks to Lokapala for the shard. It makes the puzzle much easier. As Tig says, I had a lucky run that got me to the last stair, after which I realised 'I can do it!'. That made me spend another hour and a bit to get back to the end. Fortunately I'd watched the youtube so many times I had no problems with the final jump to the tower.

One good thing has come of this though. Holy shit, am I better at jumping puzzles now...

I spent a lot of tiem on this the last 2 nights, and all I can think about is how I could be leveling. I'm going to try again tonight, though. It will be mine. O yes, it will be mine.

If you have an elementalist and you get get the 25% run speed on air attunement trait, you can speed through a lot of it once you get used to your movement speed increase ^^

You can bring warbanners for swiftness if you're a warrior, but also messes up other people's jumps ><;

I had the most trouble getting into the clocktower portal. The first time I jumped in with no problem, but I got to the top 5 more times and couldn't jump in for some reason, so I just gave up on going back in there :|
