What's new

New PC hype?

Crake

୧༼ಠ益ಠ༽୨ Stronk
So I have been wanting to do a new build for a while, and am super hyped to report that the parts are ordered and it is going to be quite a beast. On top of gaming/streaming my girlfriend will also be using it for recording/editing music, video, etc. so I really wanted to go all out. Always good to spoil yourself every now and again. She's gonna be a beaut'

I bought the corsair H100i (one model older I think) cooler two months ago. Very happy with the result - my ageing core i5 jumped from 3.2 to 3.8GHz without overclocking.

Not entirely convinced that 'premium' thermal paste does anything whatsoever though.

It jumped without overclocking? Is that possible? haha.

Yeah I have a h105 and let me tell you, you did the right thing buying yours. My pc blows cold air, even after I've been gaming for hours, its miraculous.

If I subtract your second card the 250 ssd and monitor I can get this all down to 2900$

ps why didn't you get
5960X 8-core 3.0GHz/3.5GHz Turbo 20MB L3 Cache w/ HyperThreading (16 Threads)

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/tristanpope/saved/MJtj4D

Updated that with the 8 core since I render more than you:
