New project, can you guess what it is? (Crake guessed it)

OK here is finally a few pics that may make sense. The top part is "finished" as far as shape goes. There are details missing and it will eventually be painted, but sculpting is done for the top part. Sanded and shaped.

The side has a detail that you may be able to place if you know what you are looking at. The inside of the "mouth" part has a big giveaway. And no its not a robot or an animal even though it looks like a dinosaur or hippo head.

I think someone may have a chance from these pics of figuring it out.

Hint: the sculpted part is only the front of the thing. more will be added to the back.

I keep wanting to think it's a jetbike or whatever from the Wildstar videos but if this is the front then it can't be. Can we guess the IP?

Yeah I had thought maybe the back end of a ship or something like an open loading bay or something. Guessing hungry hippo just seemed much more fun =)

Crake found the winning pic. I am making the fishing cannon. I realize the beginning stages were hard to see it, but its getting along. I am actually working on the middle part right now. I finished the bottom jaw and sanded it last night.

The first time I saw this pic I wanted to make the thing. I just finally got off my ass a few weeks ago and started it.

It does look very xenomorph at the moment. Once all the bits and bobs are added as final touches it will look less so.
