Wildstar One Build to Rule Them All

Intro
Drop 3 has come and with it came changes to the spellslinger and the way that ignite works along with some important changes to Arcane Missiles which makes it a very viable ability now. This guide will focus on the changes to the class and the new build that I am using across all the entire Raid whether it be single or multi-target.

Changes
The most recent patch had a big change on the standard ignite build which increased its duration to 8 seconds and made its tier 8 bonus now cast both the normal and spell surged version when cast using spell surge. The other big changes were to Arcane Missiles which now makes its t4 restore 5 spell power on hit and its t8 giving and empower which increases magic damage dealt.

Rotation: Quick Draw -> (SS) Arcane Missiles -> (SS) Ignite -> (SS) Assassinate x2 -> Flame Burst

What is great about this build is with the new Arcane Missiles bonus you can now cast more abilities using spell surge which will increase your damage. Now you may be thinking, where is Void Slip? The thing is that it is situational and you will only need it on some fights if you are filling a certain roll. If i were to take it, I would replace arcane shock as that would give you the lowest decrease in damage. As far as when to use Void Pact, that is also something that is situational and will have to be worked out with the other spellslingers in your group or used at your own discretion for when you would think it would be most optimal.

Note: Ignite should be cast every 8 seconds so do not overright the previous dot and lose the finishing bonus!

Nothing really special here, you are getting all of the basics from the different tiers and are going down utility for Void Pact. Some may like to get Evasive Maneuvers for the decreased damage taken after dodging but i prefer the mobility from the other parts of the tree.

Runes
The drop also brought the opportunity to have many more runes and fill get even more set bonuses. I am currently running 15/15 Focused surge, 12/12 Weapon Specialist, 8/20 Fusion Blast, and trying to fill Spellweaver. Spellweaver is currently the most difficult to fill as the only efficient runes to fill it with are Air and Water.

Closing Thoughts
Overall, this drop brought a lot of changes to the way that the class is played and made ignite based builds even easier to manage. In the end it was a good change for the class as it opened up more options to be used.
