Wildstar [Poll] For the Horde... er Exiles... err... Dominion!?!?!

This is a pretty tough choice for me, but in the hopes that the 4th Exile race is the space zombies I am looking for, I have chosen Exile. If Carbine disappoints me and uses something else, I'd probably be more interested in a Draken.
 
The Exiles have the big rocky grannok. That is their counterpart to the big robot guys. As far as we know now.

Must see final confirmed races. I like the "idea/lore" of the Exiles much better, but Dominion races have a slight edge (too bad they're assholes *ponylaugh: ).

I'm not gonna lie, the humor for WS is going to be a big part of this game for me. I really think the Mechari aren't going to be as charming as the other races in their conversations. I mean really, robots are cool... But are they really all that funny? (Bender is the exception to the rule)

See I think it's their lack of humor in a humorous world that will lend itself best to hilarious situations

They needsta hurruh up and offishuly release the last two racus, peoples is getin antsy and the current exiles vs dominion arguments are starting to sound a little like broken records.

What I came up with though was it is more people liking specific races over a faction as a whole.

*ponyerr: The Mechari in the "Paths" video was hilarious, probably the main thing that started to sway my decision to at least consider Dominion.

I'm going to have to re-look at the video. Maybe it's just me and not really finding robots funny. Or, if they are funny, kinda one trick pony funny.

What sense does that even make? If someone's "funny" because they're dumb..it's just them being dumb over and over again, no?
 
Yeah, I guess funny might not be the right word for it. I guess maybe "charming," in a diabolical way. I guess it just made me see them in a new light whereas I previously was like "how could they make them even remotely likable?" I still dislike the whole dominion attitude though, that's my main issue with them.

Everyone is on a new planet and everyone is going to have some sort of freedom.. I'm pretty sure there's going to be "bad" Exiles that want to treat the Dominion like they're the Dominion.. I'm also pretty sure there's going to be quests and such for the Dominion that let you choose how things turn out, so you could be more "Exile"-like. You guys pushing this whole nazi thing is kinda dumb. There aren't structured governments on the planet yet and I'm sure the devs will abuse that for players who picked a side and don't really agree with how that side is portrayed. Also.. what's with everyone trying to convince everyone that their side is better? Dominion could be a bunch of fairies for all I care but if the RACES are cool and fit me, that's where I want to go. Are they really going to keep you from being an asshole and an Aurin? Are they really going to keep you from being a nice peaceful Draken or misunderstood Mechari? I guess we'll find out but I sure as hell hope not.

Of course there's freedom to be your own character. However, the overall game aesthetic/feel is likely going to be tailored to the faction though (a bit more ramshackle/silly for exile, a bit more shiny/proper for Dominion, based off what we've seen so far). I'm not pushing anything, where'd the nazi thing come from? If anything, I'm giving Dominion credit. I'm only basing my current personal opinion on how both sides have been presented so far. I really like bits from both factions, hence still being undecided. As it currently stands, I could probably be happy on either side.

That's more Bruce's term.. I responded to you and went further with it in response to everyone. The pushing and nazi stuff wasn't aimed at you, I apologize.

The Paths video also got me considering Mechari... before watching that, Draken were the only race I was super interested in playing. Loved how the Mechari in the video moved almost insect-like, and how streamlined the design is. Very cool looking, and appropriate for something created by the Eldan themselves. Seems to me these are not your average androids just trying to be human-like -- they have their own thing going on.

Also, diabolical, yes. Love me some diabolical evil robots, though of course not all robots need be like the one in the video. The lore certainly gives room for a wide range of personalities and intentions.
