Post your rig

Well.. got my stuff together, sold my website for a few bucks and sold my race car.

So going to order this on monday when the money is available.

Corsair obsidian 650d case
Asus Sabretooth z77 (in LOVE with this motherboard!)
Ivy Bridge 3770k @ 3.5 (going to shoot for 5ghz!)
16gb corsair vengence dd3 1600
240mm liquid cooling for both CPU and GPU
EVGA gtx 670 (going to overclock this pretty handily, will easily outperform a more expensive 680, as well as add another in a few months)
850w thermaltake tr2
240gb corsair force SSD
1tb seagate 7200rpm HDD
Dvdrw

yay!

Nice setup. If your shooting for overclocking your graphics cards, consider a case that orients the mobo 90 degrees off of normal. Graphics cards dissapate heat straight up that way.. Lower temps = better OC!

Running X-fire 7970's with this case and the fans never make it past 40 percent on auto.

A really extreme example of what can be done with this case -->

@ Dontpanic - Depending on how many hard drives you have, and where you plugged them into, your bios boot settings may not select the hard drive you want as a boot disk. Check your boot options, specifically your booting priority to see if the hard disk shows up on the list. If it doesn't not, you'll have to further adjust your boot options, as some bios settings will default your primary hard disk to some specific SATA port.
Im going to initially build it with just one and then add another when I get the chance.

I just built myself a rig for GW2 and a little future-proofing. The main guts are:

Case: Corsair Vengeance C70
Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Formula
CPU: Core i7-3930K 3.2 LGA2011
Gfx: EVGA GTX670 FTW
Mem: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Storage: 80gb SSD for OS, 180gb SSD for games, 1TB caviar black cargo bay
Cooling: Corsair H100 closed loop
So far I'm loving it, it runs everything I throw at it like a dream. The case looks like an ammo can. :D Will post a pic later.
That is one SWEET build!

Wait so the motherboard is rotated and everything that would normally be sticking out the back is not sticking out the top? But how does this help with heat management? do GPU cards exhaust out the heat from the "back"?

IO shield faces straight up. The case sucks in cold air from the bottom, and exhausts hot air at the top. The graphics cards exhaust the hot air out of the IO shield which is facing straight up. The Silverstone Raven is another example of this case design.

Sorry for the crap quality, my camera's broken and all I've got is my phone to take these. I present, the ammo can:

I love the rugged simpleness of the C70. :D

Thanks :D

Yeah, I am trying to find a good matching color for the optical drive, and I'm hoping they put out an all-glass window since I have more than enough airflow going on right now, and I don't need fans in the window. I'll probably also sharpie the USB 3.0s on the front panel.

Mine? nah, it's a Corsair C70. I like it a lot, made a rig for my friend with one, and it convinced me to make one of my own since I liked the build quality. Moved from an Obsidian 800D (great case, but huge), it's got the same type of cable management and great airflow options.

I haven't, it was pretty cheap, so I'm sure I can pry it off and re-affix it somehow :)

proud to finally post my rig
case: cooler master 912 haf
Mobo: Asus M5A97
Cpu: amd fx 4170 4core 4.2 ghz

*Clap cLap clAp claP*

congrats sir. Have fun with it. 1 thing I would suggest is look into getting a better cooler for the CPU.

completely unnecesary if he is not overclocking tho... besides i believe i read somewhere he was on a tight budget... so saving $100 from a aftermarket cooler is good. if he decides he wants to OC then yeah, you are absolutely right.

I fall into the category of people who don't trust the performance of stock coolers even if the CPU is running at factory settings - which is quite high in this case (4.2). You can get good coolers for 40-60 bucks now a days.
