What's new

Rift

Marvel Heroes finished downloading tonight. So i was on there :p plus i had a feeling there would be a major wait time in Rift today so i didn't even bother

Ehh, its your typical point and click type game. They could have given DCUO a run for their money if they went with that play style. But they development team Gazillion Entertainment makes free-to-play games, i don't think they had the resources to make a game as big to rival DCUO, not to mention this is their second game they have made.

Didn't mean to jack the thread.

And back to Rift, I'll see if it calms down a little before i hop back in. :)

I made a rogue but I feel like I should re-roll a healer so we have an actual trinity to do some dungeons.[DOUBLEPOST=1371106038,1371105554][/DOUBLEPOST]New name Triagei

Trib's got a cleric for that. I've got a tank for that. Of course other people are needed for tanks/healers, I'm just saying we don't have ZERO of the things we need.

Oh nice. Didn't know that. The other day me and Tristan were roughly the same level and went "Let's do a dungeon!" and we were all dps in the guild haha. Good to know you two have the dynamic duo :)

Well I still wanna roll a healer, and got quite far last night, wasn't enjoying dps or the bard in this game. And ya know what they say, those that tank and heal together, enjoy teal together.

I ended up rolling a mage. For casual play, I wanted something I could kill quickly with. I'm taking the Corrupter path, which seems to be a good mix of shadow DoTs and burst fire damage. It also has self healing based on damage, which is great for questing and leveling.

Currently level 7. I'll play some more tonite.

I tried mage, GW2 did the mage good with moving spells. Here you can't move to cast spells which i don't like. So i went with a long range Rogue with a meat shield pet

Since the game went F2P, Trion gave me a good chunk of credits. I spent them on a faction transfer for my cleric who is 59. I've got specs for DPS, Support, Heals, and Tank. Once we get a few people up to max we can run some dungeons. I can also mentor down and help anyone else if anyone needs anything.

It will be a while for me to hit max. You have no idea how long it took me to hit max on GW2. So i'll catch up eventually, hopefully before Wildstar comes out

The one I'm rolling actually has several instant cast spells.

I'm more used to WoW combat that the GW2 style, so casting and channeling doesn't faze me. I do keep hitting "F" while trying to loot though.

Yea Rift is more like WoW than GW2. Its a gameplay style and as long as you can understand that it is really a fun game. There are a few things that require you to move out of, but you can get hit in the face a few times without having to worry about dying/dodging like in GW2.

Thi sgame is prepping me for non moving combat again. GW2 spoiled me.

make a cleric imo you can try a shaman dps build with instant cast heals shields and combo instant cast melee ablitys as well as instant cast range ablitys :)

ok got my account back, what is this Raptr sorcery you people speak of?

Did you get their phone number? All I can find is their damn live chat and....

Shitty fucking chat support said:
You are currently number 434 in the queue. You should be connected to an agent in about 01:15:07. The average amount of time a customer has to wait is 01:27:58.

Rift is bad for people like me that are easily distracted. I'm off minding my own business questing and OMG A RIFT!! and then THERE'S ANOTHER ONE!! and before I know it, I'm all the way on the other side of the map.

Not complaining, because it is really fun. But I'm the guy that can't leave an area if there are quests undone, so it can get OMG ANOTHER RIFT!!
