Popping 1 Blue, 1 Green, 1 Yellow Salvage Kit + 3 Mystic Forge Stones (250 gems get you 5, so about a 66s investment right now) into the Mystic Forge equals a Mystic Salvage Kit with 250 charges, same disovery stats as a Master's Salvaging Kit.
The kits cant be bought with karma anymore, but its still the best idea to buy mystic kits for level 70+ yellows.
Use basic kits (white named. a level above crude) for any white named salvage items and tier 1 items that drop cloth, ore, and leather, but not wood. Vendor or sell on the trading post anything else (blues and greens from tier 2 up, and white gear)

Naw, its lots easier to reference if you can see it layed out in text. Shouldn't take much to change, just get rid of the karma stuff and put in some recommendations on what ones to use.
