Update: To entice people further, this will be the first day of Fright Fest!

Alright folks! I wanted to get some totals for a Real Life Get Together! We've done casinos! We've done gaming conventions! We've done back yard BBQ's! We've done weddings! We've even done Strip Clubs! But we have yet to do...

I'm scheduling the event for the weekend of September 20th. The park opens at 11:00 AM EST and closes at 11:00PM on Saturday, however Caroline and I will be arriving Thursday and existing all day Friday to hang out and play board/card games and have a good time hanging out with everyone!

If we have 15 people, we qualify for group rates at roughly $35 a pop plus tax). I will be buying tickets for the group the first week of September! Make sure you RSVP by then to be included! Rooms at a nearby Holiday Inn (about 25 minutes away) are around 100 (plus tax) a night for that weekend (http://www.hieastwindsor.com/). I suggest people group up and share rooms to reduce costs of hotels!

For the thrill seekers, we can invest a bit more into the flash pass system for faster rides! We can buy that day of and pass them around if needed.

That said, who's interested?! I'll give this about 2 weeks for a final tally. I know it may take some time convincing your significant other, work time off, and travel plans, but hopefully we can reach that magical 15+ number! Even if we don't have 15 people, I'm still 100% game for going!

Please, DO NOT click yes to this event if you are not going! I will be using this Yes/No feature to plan out how many tickets will need to be purchased. I will purchase the tickets ahead of time to ensure the group rate if we can get it. If not the group rate, anyone who has information on six flags deals, let me know!

I should be able to go if they don't royally screw up my vacation schedule. I will likely bring Mallory as well.
 
Just a random question: which airport would be better to fly into? I think google tells me either Philadelphia or Newark International. Newark seems closer to the hotel.
 
I should be able to make this work. I blocked Friday so no one tries to schedule a last-minute meeting on me lol
 
What this means now is even if it's just us three (Crake + Milly + myself) and significant others, this will still be a helluva good time! So this is happening no matter what now!
 
Sounds good. I will keep an eye on plane tickets and book when I see a good price on Southwest. I'll most likely stay at the Holiday Inn if it's where everyone else will be.

Yeah, I'm opting for Holiday Inn as the group lodgings. It's WAY more fun staying at the same place than separate places. But if people really need to cut their budgets a bit, the econo lodge is an option.
 
Depending on who goes we might be able to work out roommates to help with cost too. I know you mentioned that earlier but figured it was worth repeating lol
 
Also, I want to include that I do have a SUPER HUGE Munchkin deck (literally, all expansions to the base), as well as cthulu and wild west! I know in the past people have loved Cards Against Humanity (I personally hate it), but I will be bringing that along as well.

People who are board/card game enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their favorite games to play!

It's only a 4 hour flight from west coast to east coast >_>

and like 6 hours the other way XD
 
I have an itch for Smash Bros. too if someone has the hardware. :)

I've heard about Cards Against Humanity but never actually played it. I'd be willing to learn it though if that's on the social agenda!

I am ALL OVER smash and mario kart. I have a wii U, as well as some wii-motes, attachments for GC controllers, and whatnot. I also have Project M, so we can play the "modified" version of brawl to act more like melee.
 
Im gonna be figuring out today whether it'll be possible for me to go or not. Stay tuned to find out.
