Well, I've been playing Amnesia for a while, and until this moment, I wasn't scared at all. Apart from little jump scares here and there. But I didn't play that much until now, and I'm not going to underestimate it xD

I think it all comes down to what mindset you go into it with. On top of that if you don't play it in the recommended environment then, it isn't scary. The recommended is Max contrast on monitor as dark as it wants you to h9ave it, in a room with no light in the area you're playing and headphones on.

Yep, I basically did all that, less the contrast. Have to check it out and see if it's appropriate. Other than that, I think that I only need to play it more to be really scared. I'm looking forward to it =D I like getting spooked and tense with games, since I like to feel the feedback. Not like many games that I just play and it's like: "Meh, ya that's cool..."
 
Me and 4 of my friends got together in one of their basements with all the lights out and played Amnesia on his TV. Eventually we beat it and we woke up my friends parents. :p It's a really scary game, but it's really fun as well.
