I was a human thief and a charr ranger, but after this weekend of playing tons of ele, I've decided to be a Charr elementalist at launch!

After this past beta weekend, I may end up using the Engineer as my main. I really enjoyed playing with the duel pistols much more then the 2 handed rifle. Seems easier I suppose because I like all of the aoe's and what not. I just need to get a better understanding of the whole combo system and the kits engineers can use. Will we have a section at some point including combat specified tactics? I have read the forum about the weapons we can use but it kind of ended with that.

I also want to note that I tried most of the races as well and I found that the Sylvari to me was the most interesting and kept me watching the videos the entire time. I am normally the type of person that skips all of the animations so I can get to the good stuff. Sylvari was the last race I was thinking of using to begin with.

My main in GW1 was a ranger and will be a Norn ranger in GW2 but I played an Asuran engineer in BWE3 and it was hilarious! The rifle was bigger than she was. I had already made up my mind to make my guardian Asuran and she will be named Sassy Wisenheimer (reserved) She will carry a really big hammer. She will guard and protect you and punt your foes across your screen. MUAHHAHAA!

During the first two Beta weekends i actually was playing a Human Ranger because it was my main during GW1, after they did the wipe because of BWE3 i decided to try out the sylvari and asura. I settled on Asura Elementalist. Elementalist are great all around on PvE (Haven't played PvP). They can pretty much do it all with all their elements. I can't wait, it's going to be so much fun.

I'm still committed to the human guardian along with the rest of my lineup, but the mesmer proved not to be as fun as I thought it would. Blasphemy, I know. I might make a thief instead (without knowing too much about the profession) if only to reserve a single-word name that I suspect would be in high demand.

Granted, that was my fourth or fifth alt; guardian, elementalist, and even engineer met or exceeded my expectations, and I doubt the necromancer will disappoint.

More character slots. All my gems.

The more I think about it the more I am thinking norn elementalist for my main and human ranger for my second :)

I have not fully decided yet, but I think for me right now it is between warrior and thief. I liked the ranger but i just dont think i have the patience to micromanage the pets all the time. The mesmer ended up not being anyhting like what I had imagined, as I cannot control the casting or taking down of my own clones except via the attack/sacrifice mechanic. Warrior was lots of fun, and I can play with both rifle and melee, and I feel like I had an insane amount of fun on my thief in BWE3, and for both classes, I like the fact that they can cover ground faster than some of the other classes.

BWE 3 was my first chance to play and i had pretty much ruled out only guardian and warrior. By the time the weekend was coming to an end i decided to try guardian before hunger game finale. I got it to lvl 4 and liked it alot. Did a little research through vids and forums and have decided Human Guardian will be my main for the foreseeable future. That is provided i can find a fairly viable and fun ranged build while outside keep walls in WvWvW. lol

I was a Necro as my main for GW1 so I was definitely going to be one for GW2, at the start of bwe1 I found I didn't really like the necro and I absolutely couldn't handle a melee character... til I tried the Guardian and gave it a full try (testing and upgrading all weapons available to said profession). I'm sold on the guardian, but my race hasn't changed, my main will definitely be a Charr Guardian, but tempted to also make an Asura guardian even though I don't know if I want to do the same prof for more than one character, we'll see.

Oh lord... I switched! I had a blast on my warrior, A BLAST. But I feel like guardian is a more versatile melee character, if not the most versatile melee. So Guardian for me!!! for now :p
