If you knew exactly who I was talking about by just reading the title, you win +1 Internet.

As many of you know, I am a big megaman fan. Always have been. It's what I grew up on with my NES and original brick gameboy. Today on Facebook, I came across this video and just had to share it with you all. It's Spark Mandrill's theme song all in acapella. This guy does an amazing job by syncing up his own voice. I've always loved these types of videos... I mean I know I can do it vocally, but the syncing is the hardest part. /jealous.

 
These look like one take each which means you just need to know the music for each from start to finish. Record each one. And overlap them all.

One day I might. I'd just have to think of a cool song to do it with and actually try it.
 
Gyoin just recognized a much higher seniority beard and had to promote him according to beard union rules.
 
That was so cool! If you like that sort of thing, there is an indie band I've followed for years called Pomplamoose. Natalie and Jack play all of their own instruments and do that voice overlapping stuff. Plus Natalie is fluent in French and sings a lovely version of La Vie En Rose (bottom).


 
Syncing it isn't a problem if you sing it with a click in your ear and you've got a tracker like ProTools or Cubase. And that guy's either really on pitch, or he's using AutoTune (not a dirty word).

It also helps to have a killer microphone like Tristan.
