MMO [TAB] Raiding - The Basics

I can't imagine the frustration of dropping a ton of DKP on a "good" item, only to have it come up "perfect" the next week. Hopefully it won't be that severe of swings.
Well this is one of the reasons we mods/officers are working on and thinking about loot distribution systems now. We are keeping an eye out for anything that helps for when the game launches, like mods. Thankfully Carbine is giving lots of support to the modders.

Or a system like the Reforge system in WoW that at least lets you change some of those unwanted stats into something useful.
From what I understand, the 2 locked ones can not be changed, and like Kel's example a more perfect piece may drop on the next boss and you just spent your dkp. HOPEFULLY there will be a loot distribution system that takes this into effect.

the exchangeable parts of the weapon/gear sound a lot like gem sockets in WoW to me, only with more of an impact.

IF there is no soulbinding, that would be HUGE since raid members could exchange peices that are more optimal for certain roles. I'm pretty sure that's a pipedream though.

You can dream, but you have to play in reality. Well, the reality of a made up cartoon world, full of space ships and aliens. With rules that were made up by someone else's dream.
