Razulian: Omelette du fromage anyone?
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:01 AM -
Kismet:
Hiya Raz. I'm sleepy. /sleepy
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:25 AM -
Razulian: Hey Kis, it's 7:30 AM here so no wonder

Apr 14, 2013 at 1:25 AM -
Kismet:
Make me some belgian waffles!
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:25 AM -
Razulian: I'm thinking of making omelette du fromage right now
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:26 AM -
Kismet:
ooooh j'ai faim! Moi aussi?
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:26 AM -
Razulian: And I have ZERO idea of how to make waffles let alone Belgian ones lol
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:26 AM -
Kismet:
what!?! You're from Belgium! I feel jipped!
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:27 AM -
Razulian: I'm a Turkish Belgian who doesn't think nationally but internationally

Apr 14, 2013 at 1:27 AM -
Kismet:
I have an idea. You learn to make belgian waffles. I'll learn to make lasagne. Then we can mail them to each other.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:27 AM -
Kismet:
Merhaba!
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:27 AM -
Razulian: I know 5 languages.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:27 AM -
Kismet:
I've been to Turkey. I actually loved it.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Razulian: Meh, I don't like it
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Kismet:
I know dozens of languages but I can only speak English and some french.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Kismet:
What part were you from?
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Razulian: Not me, my parents
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Kismet:
What part were they from? Istanbul or Constantinople?
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Kismet:
lol
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Razulian: Karaman
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:28 AM -
Razulian:

Apr 14, 2013 at 1:29 AM -
Razulian: About the South of the middle of Turkey
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:29 AM -
Kismet:
Oh I was never there... I visited Ankara, Diyabikur, a bunch of small towns I don't remember.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:29 AM -
Kismet:
I didn't like the mudslides... there was some place on the west coast of Turkey that I really liked... a major city
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:30 AM -
Kismet:
It also began with an "I" I think... can't remember the name.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:30 AM -
Razulian: The only places I'd go to are probably Istanbul and Fetiye, Fetiye because my grandma and some family I like live there
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:30 AM -
Kismet:
I remember buying a lot of gold and marble there. And the people turned me on to Cey Tea
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:31 AM -
Kismet:
Crazy drivers too, OMG, I could never drive there.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:31 AM -
Razulian: It's crazy indeed
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:32 AM -
Kismet:
Some Turkish man wanted to buy me for two goats, three cows, some gold and an orange grove!
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:32 AM -
Kismet:
I was skeert!
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:32 AM -
Razulian: lolwut
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:32 AM -
Razulian: Yeah some people are like that in some parts
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:32 AM -
Kismet:
And then I wandered in to some market near Diyabikur that was a dangerous area between the Turks & Kurds... I had no idea.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:32 AM -
Razulian: I just like the modern parts but still
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:33 AM -
Kismet:
Yeah I like the modern cities... but we went to a lot of remote locations... some had dirt roads and horse & buggies.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:33 AM -
Kismet:
But the majority of the locals I met were so so so nice.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:34 AM -
Kismet:
Have you heard of a place called Capadocia? Not sure if I spelled it right.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:34 AM -
Kismet:
I met a guy there who was a tour guide, and people built their houses out of this clay type of rock, they all looked like little mushrooms.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:34 AM -
Razulian: I heard about it
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:35 AM -
Razulian: It's kinda cool, just googled it
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:35 AM -
Kismet:
did i spell it right?
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:35 AM -
Razulian: It has two p's (Cappadocia)

Apr 14, 2013 at 1:36 AM -
Kismet:
ah i see
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:36 AM -
Razulian: I like Fethiye a lot, it's a well-known tourist centre
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:37 AM -
Razulian: As a kid me and my family went there about every year or so (not anymore though)
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:38 AM -
Razulian: The people there were really nice to me, my niece showed me around a couple of times
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:38 AM -
Kismet:
Cool... I just pulled up a map of Turkey... Izmir was the other city I was thinking of. I loved it there... on the Mediterranean. I loved Greece too... I think that was my fave.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:39 AM -
Kismet:
I really want to do more overseas travel, it has been too long. I need to update my passport though.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:40 AM -
Razulian: I really want to go to Fethiye again right now and do a parachut jump :3
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:40 AM -
Razulian: *parachute
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:41 AM -
Kismet:
wow you are brave. there was a time when i thought i would do that... but not anymore.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:41 AM -
Kismet:
i don't even really like flying anymore
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:41 AM -
Kismet:
but i would do it to see more of the world.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:42 AM -
Razulian: It's actually more like you walk off of a cliff with a parachute
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:42 AM -
Razulian: *mountain
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:42 AM -
Razulian: You start running and the parachute does the rest
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:45 AM -
Kismet:
that sounds really cool... and really daring.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:45 AM -
Kismet:
i like being a spectator to those sorts of things rather than a participant. I don't like bungee jumping, parasailing, hang gliding, etc.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:46 AM -
Kismet:
But, if I had a chance to be launched in to space, I would probably do that.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:46 AM -
Razulian: I would do that too
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:46 AM -
Kismet:
would you rather visit outer space? Or journey to the center of the Earth?
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:47 AM -
Razulian: Space, I hate gravity
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:47 AM -
Kismet:
lol me too
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:47 AM -
Kismet:
i want to free float
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:47 AM -
Razulian: But first I got to launch my own satellite lol (had some ideas on how to do it, but I could also use one of the military Russian satellites that from the 20th century which they aren't using anymore (space trash))
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:48 AM -
Kismet:
There is so much space junk up there.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:49 AM -
Kismet:
I had the chance to visit a giant satellite dish in Turkey, it tracked one of the major Russian missiles back in the 50's.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:49 AM -
Kismet:
it was just neat to see how that all worked.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:50 AM -
Kismet:
I love science and space, constellations, etc. Though I don't really have an aptitude for it.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:50 AM -
Kismet:
But I like watching shows on TV about that stuff... it's so vast.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:51 AM -
Kismet:
well, i better get to bed RazzzzZZZzzzzz
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:52 AM -
Razulian: Just had yet another flashback: my teacher was teaching us about space during geology and he said that only the Russian space vessels go to the ISS
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:52 AM -
Kismet:
:rainbowsheep: bai!
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:52 AM -
Kismet:
yes right now that is true
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:53 AM -
Kismet:
sadly the US cut back drastically on the space program...
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:53 AM -
Razulian: I was like: "Hey have you heard about a company called Space-X? They launched a vessel last month to the ISS" and he's all like "No that's not true"
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:53 AM -
Razulian: "Only the Russians stil do that" lolwut
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:53 AM -
Kismet:
lol
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:54 AM -
Razulian: Well now private companies are starting to take it to space so yeah
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:54 AM -
Kismet:
Well I don't know if it is only the Russians, but I know the US isn't right now. Even though we may be still sending scientists there via Russia. I haven't read up on it in a bit, so I could be wrong.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:54 AM -
Kismet:
Nasa is here in Florida, not too far from where I live. I used to like going to the Space Center.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:55 AM -
Razulian: There aren't any people going to the ISS from the US, but Space X was sending it's dragon capsule to it
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:56 AM -
Razulian: just to test it out, they were planning on using it to send people too. It's cool because it's reusable
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:56 AM -
Kismet:
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:56 AM -
Razulian: Btw Kis, what's your job? I was wondering about it

Apr 14, 2013 at 1:56 AM -
Kismet:
I am a voice captionist... I provide captioning on live television broadcasts for the hearing impaired.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:58 AM -
Kismet:
I like it a lot... though it's not a job for everyone. You have to talk very fast, for multiple people, and insert punctuation as you go. So it's funny to listen to.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:58 AM -
Razulian: Holy crap talk about less than 5%
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:59 AM -
Kismet:
It is definitely a niche job.
Apr 14, 2013 at 1:59 AM -
Razulian: Let's say that I can hardly rap so you'll get an idea

Apr 14, 2013 at 2:00 AM -
Kismet:

Apr 14, 2013 at 2:01 AM -
Kismet:
I speak about 10,000 words per hour on average when I caption.
Apr 14, 2013 at 2:01 AM -
Razulian: Oh well, good night Kis :3
Apr 14, 2013 at 2:01 AM -
Kismet:
G'night Raz. Learn how to make me some waffles while I sleep.
Apr 14, 2013 at 2:02 AM -
Kismet:
Apr 14, 2013 at 2:31 AM -
Sivenx: Looks like I missed the party.
Apr 14, 2013 at 2:41 AM -
Razulian: The party is at 4PM EST
Apr 14, 2013 at 3:01 AM -
Sivenx: sunday?

Apr 14, 2013 at 3:13 AM -
Sivenx: heh, I wonder hjow much I'm gonna sleep tonight
Apr 14, 2013 at 10:27 AM -
tr1age:

Apr 14, 2013 at 11:07 AM -
Sivenx: 4 hours actually
Apr 14, 2013 at 11:07 AM -
Sivenx: but I'll make some coffee to handle tonight

Apr 14, 2013 at 2:47 PM -
ThatOneGuy:
I'm on too right now
Apr 14, 2013 at 3:33 PM -
Sivenx: Heading to Lion's Arch on Yaks Bend. can someone give me a uername to contact?
Apr 14, 2013 at 4:19 PM -
Kismet:
I'm not in game at the moment, but usually one of the officers or veteran members can add you to guild.
Apr 14, 2013 at 4:38 PM -
Kismet:
*ponysmile: Doh, just realized today was guild missions. Disregard previous post and anything I ever say in Shoutbox.
Apr 14, 2013 at 5:12 PM -
Razulian: Ah, my first schoolday after 3 weeks offf
Apr 14, 2013 at 6:27 PM -
Kismet:
Did you miss it?
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:02 PM -
Razulian: Can't really say I miss it, but I don't hate it either like many others of my age do
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:02 PM -
Razulian: I just like the challenge of getting good scores

Apr 14, 2013 at 7:02 PM -
Razulian: And with the tip Jia gave me for my exams it'll be really easy
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:09 PM -
Valikar: i need help anyone of technical know how.
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:10 PM -
Valikar: i have an LCD tv that when you switch it on you get a black screen, only the backlight is on
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:10 PM -
Valikar: occaisionally i get it flash blue when i press a button
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:10 PM -
Valikar: "blue screen of death" blue to be precise
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:10 PM -
Razulian: How old is it?
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:11 PM -
Valikar: like not old at all
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:11 PM -
Razulian: Still under warranty old?
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:12 PM -
Valikar: like say a month and half old
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:12 PM -
Valikar: erm don't know,
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:12 PM -
Razulian: Alright... what make is it? Samsung? LG?
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:13 PM -
Valikar: unfortunately i got it through eBay so i don't have origional receipt, i have just contacted seller but wondered if i could find out if it was an easy fix
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:13 PM -
Valikar: technika
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:13 PM -
Razulian: Not that easy I'm afraid

Apr 14, 2013 at 7:14 PM -

Ready for this weekend to end. :/
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:15 PM -
Razulian: If you'd have such a problem with a cathode ray tv then it'd be relatively easy to fix in contrast to an LCD tv, they're pretty much only circuits and stuff
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:15 PM -
Valikar: bah, hate life
Apr 14, 2013 at 7:17 PM -
Razulian: Think NES, they may be from the 80's but they still work. Same goes for tv's that old

Apr 14, 2013 at 7:19 PM -

Apr 14, 2013 at 7:33 PM -
Razulian: Just saw that I only have 50 days of school left, that's not much :unicorn:
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:19 PM -
Kismet:
Sorry to hear about your TV, Val, and your plane delays, Kbambz.
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:31 PM -
Kismet:
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:44 PM -
Razulian: Bigger test:
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:45 PM -
Razulian: Still goes behind the frames
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:46 PM -
Razulian: Let's try a smaller one
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:46 PM -
Razulian: Also goes behind frames, that's 720p
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:46 PM -
Razulian: What about 240p?
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:47 PM -
Razulian:
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:47 PM -
Razulian: That one is alright
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:47 PM -
Razulian: 480p this time
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:47 PM -
Razulian: Without text again
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:47 PM -
Razulian:
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:48 PM -
Razulian: Text doesn't help, 480p still isn't handled correctly
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:48 PM -
Razulian:
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:48 PM -
Razulian: Nope
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:48 PM -
Razulian: And that was 360p

Apr 14, 2013 at 8:52 PM -
Razulian: Here's what happens as far as I can tell: The data gets updated, the picture is larger when you click on it
Apr 14, 2013 at 8:52 PM -
Razulian: Though the problem is is that the area isn't refreshed
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:00 PM -
Razulian: Another test shows that the error only happens when the picture is too big to fit the screen, a scroll bar appears
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:16 PM -

Apr 14, 2013 at 9:17 PM -
Razulian: Posted a work around, don't ask me how to implement such a thing but I know it's possible. I'm too much of a noob :/
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:17 PM -
Razulian: Yup
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:17 PM -
Razulian: Still happens
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:19 PM -
kbambz:
Where did you post the workaround?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:20 PM -
Razulian: In the Website Feedback & Bugs section, but I'll say it in here again in short
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:21 PM -
Razulian: You could implement a code that detects a horizontal scroll bar
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:21 PM -
Razulian: If it detects one then it has to force a screen update
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:23 PM -
Razulian: If the scroll bar gets smaller (there's an even bigger image) then you could force yet another update, so each time when the size of the scrollbar changes then a screen update is forced
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:23 PM -
Razulian: With update I mean redraw everything, the same thing that happens when you zoom in or zoom out
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:23 PM -
Razulian: Or partially when you select an area
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:24 PM -
kbambz:
What happens with the large images?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:25 PM -

Just cut off on the right?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:25 PM -
kbambz:
Or what Kis showed where you can see the image but there's a black background on the right?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:26 PM -
Razulian: What Kis showed
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:26 PM -
Razulian: Well I don't really understand what you mean cut off, you mean you can't scroll further or something else?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:28 PM -
kbambz:
like you can't view part of it
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:28 PM -
kbambz:
as if the right part of the image didn't exist; clipped from view entirely
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:28 PM -
Razulian: So without a scroll bar?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:28 PM -
kbambz:
or if it's just pushing the layout out to the right (where you get that black bar on the right from that is in Kismet's last post in that thread)
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:29 PM -
Razulian: I mean if you scrolled to the right you still wouldn't get the part that was cut away? No that doesn't happen
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:30 PM -
kbambz:
Okay
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:30 PM -
kbambz:
Cool. Thanks
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:32 PM -
Razulian: Forcing a redraw fixes it though
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:32 PM -
tr1age:
has notjhing to do with the scroll bar unfortunately. It has to do with the page. Still happens in the full page when it scrolls the page over further than the intended size.
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:32 PM -
tr1age:
But thanks Raz
i like the outside the box thinking
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:33 PM -
Razulian: Well the scroll bar only appears when the picture that's too large pops up
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:34 PM -
tr1age:
yes because it extendeds the page size
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:34 PM -
tr1age:
That is working properly
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:35 PM -
Razulian: If you redraw the page when the page is extended then it'll show correctly
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:35 PM -
kbambz:
Hey Raz, in your opinion, if the image were larger than the whole available screen/page width, what would clicking on an image look like?,
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:36 PM -
Razulian: You'd have to scroll to see more of the image
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:36 PM -
Razulian: So only a part of the image would be shown
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:36 PM -
kbambz:
like it does now?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:36 PM -
Razulian: Yes, bit in my opinion it should be in front of everything else not like it is now

Apr 14, 2013 at 9:36 PM -
Razulian: *but
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:37 PM -
kbambz:
What do you mean "in front of everything else"?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:37 PM -
kbambz:
Like centered?
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:38 PM -
Razulian: Didn't think of centering, that's even a better idea
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:39 PM -
Razulian: And by in front of everything else I meant without the error it's having right now
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:43 PM -
kbambz:
hm
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:45 PM -

Razulian: So my idea partially works lo
Apr 14, 2013 at 9:46 PM -
