Tristan did have a good point that it's not just all harmless fun. There have been people (teens) that have committed suicide because some one pretended to care about them and then shattered them.
 
Fuck the teen argument there have been grown adults. Feelings are important and enough mental warfare can cause a snap for anyone.

I'd only heard of the cases invovling teens, but I believe it. People are mean, no getting around it.
