The War Z - Who would be interested?

I have been on the fence about purchasing the game "The War Z" for a little bit http://thewarz.com/

The things that really interested me in this game are the idea of private servers. We could have an ALTTABME.COM server where we could literally rebuild civilization. Through farms, barricades etc. Just seems like a cool place to go after we are burnt out from work or gw2 or planetside 2. GO rebuild civilization together.

Yes this is a rip off of DayZ, but that game and the developer just pissed me off. Was not friendly to people who wanted to play with their friends.

Thoughts?
 
Yeah, maybe around Christmas. There's somethin' about the holiday season that puts me in a zombie killin' mood.
 
I tell ya one thing though I will not invest in this game until it is released. Because if it is any indicator of production from War Inc their first game, they are the classic Beta is Full Game experience. And if that is the case, this game doesn't interest me. What does interest me is the building of forts etc on a private server. So let's wait and see what they implement :)
 
War Z definitely peaked my interest, everything I read / watched so far seems greats. If we got a little server going, would most certainly be down.

The War Z and World War Z have nothing to do with one another sadly. The book for World War Z was epic.
 
oh yea, i didnt mean that they were related.. i just thought it was funny that everything is about zombies lately ;p
 


Is another zombie movie comming out that looks like itll be good...

I was interested in it for a while, just didn't want to get it since I got Day Z and it is due for its standalone release soon.

If we get a bunch of guildies in a server I'm totally down though.
 
it has definitely piqued my interest, i like the whole idea of your "class" being what you make of it through experience. at least thats what i get from what it says.
 
I was waiting until DayZ standalone before making any decisions. I have more faith in Rocket, knowing what he has done already, than I do in these people.
 
from the reviews out at the moment its a pretty mixed bag. definitely something i would want to wait for full release before making my final decision
 
i knew i was spelling it wrong but i just couldn't figure it out, even wrote it down several ways, didn't think to start with a v though lol.
and tristan did you break it? :p
 
I was very interested in this when I first heard about it! But then a few people I know got spots in the beta (they pre-purchased to get in), and they hardly had anything good to say about the game.
I figured I'd wait until I've read a few reviews after it's been released.

I'm looking forward to the stream and your verdict though!
