GW2 Thoughts on these builds?

I don't understand your need for so much precision with the weapon choice. You are not hitting enough for it to really do a different IMO. That is why I have points in Phantasm regen it helps my party.

The Clone dodge is def a nice perc but I prefer to have the cooldown ont eh staff, now I can literally unload shatter on 1 rotation and rinse repeat with the next due to the cooldown.

I do love me some Mirror Images, wish my shatters did more damage haha. But that would be a diff build.

I will get back to you on the sigil and rune choices as I haven't really chosen mine properly yet but I had originally stacked condition damage and power. I also use magic find but that is just because it is fun :)
 
Precision is mainly for the bleed-on-crit. I only really have it because of the 'free' sigils that came with my items when they came out of the forge.

On the clone, let's get a little mathematical and see which is objectively better.

My choices:
Stamina refreshes at 5% per sec, with 50% per clone. You therefore get 1 clone per 10 seconds with deceptive evasion.
Phase retreat 10s
Phantasmal warlock 18s

That's 2.55 clones per 10 seconds

Your choices:
Phase retreat 8s
Phantasmal warlock 14.4
That's 1.39 clones per 10 seconds

So my build generates 54% more clones than yours - but can't really say which is better overall without some maths I'm really not up for.

Just noticed this though:
Debilitating Dissipation
"The effect triggers when a clone is killed by a foe, when its target dies, or when it is replaced by a newly created clone or phantasm. The effect does not trigger when a clone is shattered. "

I may need to eliminate chaos from my build entirely.
 
Here's my current working build. Not much different from the old one except that I've scrapped Chaos to get AoE Vigor when I shatter (which equals even more clones and helps allies). The big addition is the addition of Energy runes and a Stamina rune (stam recharge on weapon swap/kill).

I have to swap mirror image out for signet of illusions on big fights - because I go through shatter skills too fast! Shatters and confuse are the main source of damage in the build. Every Staff/torch skill causes confuse in some manner, while staff skills are mainly for clone generation/AoE.
