Ultra CHEZ
It's better with cheddar!
Name
Eric
Age (must be 18+)
17 years, 5 months, and 1 day (as of Aug. 7, 2012). I know this is under the preferred age, but I feel that I can be as mature as anyone twice my age. At the risk of sounding conceited, I hold leadership positions in two of my school clubs, and have a good GPA. I am finishing up my first summer job as an paid intern (an oxy moron, I know, but that is the best way to describe it) at a small financial corporation. Hopefully this demonstrates enough maturity for my age to be overlooked. (Although it may be worth mentioning that if the situation calls for it, I can be immature as well. No need to be serious all the time
).
Do you have any friends in the guild? If so, who?
Unfortunately not, but hopefully I'll be able to make some if I manage to gain entry.
Main Character
Ultra CHEZ
Character Name
Ultra CHEZ
Race
Human (I have a soft spot for my own species, no matter the game. Charr will most likely be my secondary character's race though).
Profession(Class)
Engineer (only through technological progress shall Tyria be saved! Plus, sometimes you just want to build things... only to blow them up 5 seconds later).
What role do you wish to play in the guild? For example: PvP, PvE, Casual/Social
I love the Lore of Guild Wars and as such will spend a good majority of my time in PvE. However, I also really enjoy WvW, so that will be my secondary focus. Although, as time goes by I will probably shift more of my time away from PvE towards both aspects of PvP. I want to experience all aspects of Guild Wars 2.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
To my everlasting chagrin, I never played the original Guild Wars. I also never played WoW (I detest subscription based models), although I might as well have considering how much my friends have played it. My first and most played MMO was Runescape (I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that). I started playing when I was 12 and played fairly consistently for about 3 years. After that I played several other Free to Play MMOs on and off again for the past 2 years such as Vindictus, Lord of the Rings Online, Spiral Knights, and Rusty Hearts. However, I never really felt very satisfied with any of them (which actually led me to find and fall in love with Guild Wars 2). I'm not sure it counts, but I have participated in all 3 Guild Wars 2 beta weekends, as well as a couple stress tests.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
I have no prior Guild experience, usually preferring to play with small groups of friends or by myself in MMOs. The fact that I have never really been immersed in any one MMO before Guild Wars 2 also contributed to the more solitary play style. However, now that I've finally found an MMO worth investing my time in, I want to get the full experience of not just being a part of the game, but also a part of the community.
How did you hear about the Guild?
I started watching/ listening to the podcast after someone posted an episode on the Guild Wars Insider forums.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
I hope to bring enthusiasm and an eager willingness to learn to the AltTabMe community. I also bring a polite and mature demeanor.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
If it's not my only guild (I hope to join the Guild Wars Insider guild as well), it will be my main guild due to its very active community.
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Regardless of whether I am accepted or not, I am glad to have found the AltTabMe community. You guys seem to be a group of fun, active people whom I hope to get the chance to know better. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
