Hi all.

Just some stuffs i have made whilst on my course for Uni. Mostly done by hand/machine aided but some bits have been done using a CNC machine. Hope you like.

Hourglass sand timer - All oak, and yes i know about the huge gaps where the poles go in, there was a slight mishap whit my measuring when on the lathe. will hopefully be redoing those soon. Daish Oil Finish, wiped on.

'Time is Golden' Clock - Primarily Oak, the number dial/ring is plywood with walnut stain. Brass butterfly hinges and brass coloured stick on roman numerals. clock face is attatched to a pedastool inside via magnets and a slight shelf, this houses the clock mechanism. doors held shut via magnets and open by twisting the ply ring clockwise. Danish Oil Finish, wiped on.
This was origionally a mantle-piece type clock but feel it would probably go better as a low wall mounted one.
(I had help from the CNC on this one for the clock dial that houses the mechanism as there was pocketting to do and lets be honest, circles are a bitch to do and i didnt want to do them).

Decorative Folding Screen - Beech wood frames stained Atique Mahogony, MDF central Panels with Photopaper prints on both sides. Very Heavy....Like each leaf weighs the same as a door roughly. Yeah i mess up on my sizes sometimes. Clear catalised Lacquer finish (90% sheen), sprayed on.
The pattern on the top was CNC'd. unfortunately i could only do it on one side but still looks good. Origionally inteded to inlay it but the cutter decided to outline it instead of pocketing it...may hae been my fault for programming it wrong but oh well.

thanks for the love :)
let me know what you like most/least and any suggestions for furture projects.
currently working on ideas for my final project and stuggling if im honest. too many things i could do and finding it hard to narrow myfocus
