WARPLOT [TAB] SOLDIER'S T-12 FIELD MANUAL

So due to the lack of knowledge you, as a recruit to the [TAB] Army might be asking what exactly is a Warplot? Warplots are pure awesome baby! Large scale, strategic PvP action! With heavy weapons! Ok, ok more specifically they are large floating plots of land that you and your Warparty can build up and use to battle other Warparties with their own plots in 20 vs 20 or 40 vs 40 battles to the death. Wait what the hell is a Warparty? Lets break the whole thing down. We don't have too much in the way of specific battlefield intel but I will outline what we do know.

-Warparties are similar to guilds but considered a separate entity, able to number over 100+ members. Consider it your platoon.

-You can only have one battle at a time, even if you have a big enough Warparty to field multiple warplot teams. You only have one Warplot after all soldier!

-Warparties are matched randomly and based on skill level, I am assuming similar to how server matchups occured in Guild Wars 2 World vs World.

We here will be running our own in-guild Warparty or Parties depending on numbers. I will be co-ordinating and leading battle operations as we build all the weapons and defenses possible and fight for glory. While we don't have specifics on how the interface or UI works for Warplots, I am hoping for a robust command system, target marking/calling, etc. Here are the basics of how we will be organizing people.

Warplot ChiefZakis-The person who, just like a raid leader, has ultimate control. This person will be ruthless and has battle tactics coming out the wazoo. This person will be eating, sleeping, drinking, and pooping warplots. Seriously, I live for this shit. I will be following the high end warplotters, learning tactics, development systems, and cutting edge strategies. I will be working hand in hand with the:

Squad Leaders – The people who will be organizing smaller teams on the warplot. I'm hoping that the warplots will not just be a 20 vs 20 or 40 vs 40 zergfest, but something that will actually require small team organization and cooperation. These squad leaders will take control of their squads and work accordingly to lead their squads to do thier objectives, be it defend a point, attack a point, harass their defenders, destroy weaponry, or gank the fuck out of healers. These squads should be tip top shape. Until we know more about warplots, we're not sure how large or small these teams would be, but I could easily see eight squads of five.

Builders – These guys research and organize how a warplot should be and will be built. The Chief and Squad Leaders should all be a part of this team so that things can be adjusted for their purposes. Everyone should know the full layout of our warplot, but I don't expect everyone to have a say in the warplot. Too many people building a very concise construct can be more detrimental than helpful. Again, until we know more, I don't have as much to say on this. Just remember the repair and prepare system after every fight (as far as we know at the moment). This repair phase will take time so we won't be battling 24/7, but hey thats what open world PvP is for.

So your looking at the stuff above and see 'builders' as a category. Thats right cupcake, your gonna need to build up that Warplot if you want to stand a chance against the enemy. To quote something my Uncle always said, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance". So planning, building, maintaining, and (Eldans forbid you let our plot get destroyed)rebuilding, are all important aspects of ultimate victory on the field. That means everyone in the guild/warparty is important. There is some general information on plots here: http://warplots.com/guide/warplots-vs-plots-housing, but it has been mentioned that every type of player will be able to contribute to the cause even if you dont PvP. I am assuming this is in the form of resources or maybe even actual buildings.

Now that you have helped build the Warplot up its time to get your WAR ON! What do you need to know as a member of the [TAB] Army? ALL THE THINGS! You should be comfortable with your class, your spec, and your role(healing, tanking, DPS). Your enemy is not only going to be shooting an unholy amount of ordnance at you, they will be unleashing monsters from every dark corner of Nexus at you! Sounds like a great time right? It doesn't hurt to know what your squadmates are packing either. You don't want to be THAT guy that forgot the grenades? PvP specs and gear will be discussed at length on the site once we get our hands on the game, so don't worry if you don't know where to start!

In closing, I want the people of [TAB] to come together as a community to have some serious fun and wipe the floor with any and all challengers! Just remember winning is great, but having FUN is the main priority(but we should totally win)! I will be updating this post with more detailed strategy and organization as more Warplot information is revealed. If you have any questions or comments concerning shooting all the things and stuff(Warplots), don't hesitate to ask.

Yay!!! I know it's a ways away but looking forward to cracking heads in PvP! Definitely going in as a builder; depending on how we work together maybe one day being a squad leader. Mostly looking to assist in any way I can to make sure we are a force to be reckoned with. It's also been my guild's goal in previous games to dominate in PvP and regardless of how small the guild/force is be able to hold your own. Anything you need just let me know.

I can't believe that a game has finally come along that has me super excited for pvp. Thanks, Zakis, this sounds like it's going to be a ton of work for you. Good thing you love it!

Oh yeah I am excited, I just need more info. I was all ready for awesomeness in Guild Wars 2 World vs World and I was disappointed.

Does mumble have the ability to... For instance say we have 3 different warplot channels, wargroups 1, 2 and 3. The squad leaders of each group can be heard by all the other groups to understand the overall tactics of the battle, but each individual groups members can only be heard amongst their own respective group. That way every group knows what the squad leaders directions/commands are (ok group 1 is doing this, group 2 is doing that, etc), but comms aren't saturated by everyone else.

Does that make sense?

Also, that Granok is sticking her vage in my face. I think she wants me. I think shes also getting fisted..

Yes

Yep thats important actually if I end up splitting up into squads. Similar to what I would do when platoon leading in Planetside. Warchief and Squad Leaders in command chat(using TS3 as an example) and then SLs are relaying information and orders to their squads which can talk amongst themselves in their own channel.

War plots are one of the biggest things I'm excited for in wildstar. I really hope they promote and encourage skilled teamplay vs zergfest.

I was watching some Arma vids the other day and stuff like what's going on in this video just makes games at awesome to me.. A commander calling in to close air support outside of the general channel with the other people, and just in general having a chain of command.. I really hope wildstar encourages this kind of team play. (Bah, won't let me link to a direct time, but I was talking about stuff like at 13:50).

This is why I played Planetside 1 and 2 hardcore. The levels of strategy can get insane.

PvP does not float my boat, but I can totally see myself in a support role for warplots. I can see myself happily farming mats for repairs and upgrades, then watching us wipe out the other team on the livestream. I also think it's AMAZING that PvE can support this by capturing raid bosses! Time to go farm some guard dogs!
