Wildstar Why (?) Wildstar Should Avoid Consoles

I disagree. I don't think casual gaming, like what is found on iOS, will ever take over or replace traditional, hardcore gaming that you see on high quality PCs and consoles. I think they are separate markets that can exist together just fine. The Ouya would be hard to improve upon imo, but I don't see it taking a huge market share away from other consoles.

Yes but children will grow up with iOS games, so if you and me are too old to play or if we outgrow(?) our gaming phase there will be noone to take up our place. And if you are like me then you would rather play a medicore iOS game than no game at all.
And gaming companies see that this market will die out in the future and less games are being made.

I think the future IS mobile gaming. I think all giant pcs and rigs will be obsolete. If it isn't portable people aren't into it in 2090.

For me there are 2 main issues with Wildstar, or any game going cross platform.

1. the development of the PC side usually suffers and game mechanics are changed or chosen so that they will work with a controller (many less buttons to work with and a control stick rather than a mouse)
2. in any competitive game the PC users would automatically have a huge advantage over the consoles. That advantage comes down to one thing speed... while with a controller you chose a sensitivity and then you can turn at the low or high end of that sensitivity a mouse offers a sensitivity but because of the higher mobility of a mouse (say 4 in in any direction roughly) compared to a analog stick with only a half inch at most of travel in each direction. this means that while controllers have to wait to turn to the angle they want PC gamer's simply learn how far they have to move the mouse to turn to various places so it can be done in a instant.

because of this i don't see a successful integration of these two systems ever working unless the PC's have to use a controller or the consoles have to use a mouse and keyboard.
