When Guild Wars 2 Launches, I plan on focusing heavily on PvE & Crafting. I am more of an explorer/ adventurer type so for the first few months that’s what I expect to be doing. However, I’m really looking forward to playing the shit out of some WvW, and maybe some sPvP on the side.
Which previous MMO's or online games have you played and how long for?
My first MMO was Ultima Online, played UO for 3 or 4years on Lake Superior and Catskills server/shard, left UO during the Lord Blackthorn expansion, and started playing World of WarCraft. Played World of WarCraft for 3 years until It got stupid, called it quits just before wrath of the lich king released, came back to World of WarCraft for Cataclysm, then after a year left for good. Started Playing Random MMO’s off and on for 2 years including Dragon Net, Eden Eternal, Forsaken World until Star Wars: The Old republic launched. I have been playing Star Wars: The Old Republic since beta.
Were you a part of a guild? What was your experience?
Yes, MMOs are social games; it would be hard and boring not joining some type of guild, clan, or fellowship. My first guild was The Keepers of Justice in UO, we were basically a goody good guild helping newbie’s and hunting down Pk’s. When I left UO and started playing World of War Craft, I joined my brother’s guild, our main focus was having fun and casual raiding, I played kind of an off tank role with my protection Paladin, saving Dpser’s and guarding healers. When I left World of War Craft and started playing random MMO’s I joined a few guilds but did not really stay long enough to remember the GM or guild names. I started playing Star Wars: The Old Republic in beta last year. I joined a guild called Space Balls or Space Blasters or something like that. Great group of guys, played a Trooper, had a lot of fun tanking & spanking Star Wars: The Old Republic content, until the guild started to get stupid. My server population started to go down, Space Balls or Blasters started letting anyone join the guild to make up for the inactiveness. Racist jokes & conversations started to entertain the guild; apparently they did not think people of color played Star Wars, so it was ok to talk like that. Anyway, long story short, I left the guild and have been running and gunning naked in Ilum ever since.
How did you hear about the Guild?
Before I start playing a new MMO I do a lot of research. So, I started to reading up on GW2 checking all of the fan sites and watching all of the videos on YouTube. Well, I found your podcast/webcast on YouTube and you guys seemed like a cool bunch of dudes, who knew what they were talking about.
What will you bring to the ALTTABME community? (Chatty? Skilled? Funny? Helping?)
What I will bring to the ALTTABME community is maturity, a sense of humor, and general good old helpfulness, and I am no stranger of bending over and taking one for the team, just as long as the team bends over and take one for me. I am not really chatty unless I have had a few beers then you could not get me to shut up. Skilled, I may not be the best but I will make sure I know what the hell I am doing before I do something. Funny, NO! But I have been known to game extremely drunk, which make me appear funny.
Will Arcanix be the only guild you join?
No. I plan on joining other guilds; however, Arcanix will probably be my main. It all really depends on how much fun we have together, I may not need another guild if I can get what I need in Arcanix…I need fun & good times! Oops never mind, yeah I will be in other guilds I have friends & Family members playing also, I would not want them thinking I do not want to play with them If I do not join their guilds even though I really don’t. fml
Is there anything else you would like to throw in here at the end?
Is it just me or does Bruce looks like Zach Galifianakis, also known as Alan Garner, from the Hangover movies. Can you guys do me a favor? Have Bruce sing the Three Best friends Song in the next podcast/webcast. Hangover: 3 best Friends Song Also, Wooje is a combination of my Last and First name, and the name of my imaginary pet a bald baby monkey. True Story, my next door neighbor is selling pet baby monkeys, unfortunely; my wife is a damn pet Nazi. Currently, I am campaigning to get one of these monkeys, by taking pictures and placing them strategically all over my house. I figure if she sees it enough and hear me talking about it enough, maybe just maybe she will let me have a damn Monkey. Thanks for listening, Wooje. Out!
