Zakis: Cleric
Razulian: Paladin
Jia: (?) Unknown

Things You're Gonna Need

Make a character. As much specific information as you can give me now, do so.

A Roll20 account. This service is awesome and we're totally using it. It's free and in-browser.

A Gmail account (maybe). Roll20 has native video chat, but we can also run it in a Google+ Hangout if we have trouble.

Tell me a secret. Write up a public backstory for your character, but also try to think of a secret that you know but don't want to tell anyone else. If you can't, I'll give you something.

We might just spend the first session working on characters and establishing ground rules. That's fine, no rush.

Frick thought it was this Sunday. Um ill be on vacation, but I will have all my pathfinder PDFs on my tablet and I have mumble on my phone. Ill talk to you from the beach.

Oh do we're not webcamming it?

I don't own a webcam, so I'll be faceless. Adds to my mystique.
Oh, alright. If I had money to donate I'd buy you one lol. Thought it'd add more to the experience if we could all see each others faces. Plus I remember someone suggesting we record and post on the site.

I don't have much in the way of disposable income either.

I was looking into ways to do this over voice and I think a Google hangout will be the best way. Anyone can log on and watch and we can show other things like web pages and stuff if needed. I will for sure record it no matter if we are on mumble or whatever. I installed xsplit so I can get it if we do video, if we do mumble only I can record from there.

I also suggest we all have the website open for PM's so there can be secret communication as needed.

OK as stated I'll be on my tablet/phone so I'll manage this best I can. Won't be recording any of this session though lol.

I'm going to need help putting my character together. I read the manual, so I think I know what I want to go with. Some one probably posted a character sheet template somewhere.... I will go look.

Do I need to be 100% done with my character by start time? Or are we going to use some time finishing them up? Assigning stats, ect?

As I sit here reading up on things I feel like a little guidance would be helpful building my Cleric. Is it more prudent to spend our first session doing such things or should we start a post where those who are more experienced can throw down a little advice?

For instance is it a better idea to start with a non-magic user for a first timer?

We will be using the first part of the session to run through character creation so everyone can get their characters made/tweaked/fixed as needed.

It would be best if you figure out the general things about what you want to play. Tank, healer, dps? heavy defense, dodge, offense? What race do you like? Check out the tutorial thread Here for some good tips.

All things considered, magic isn't that complicated once you get the gist. And Cleric's an excellent class, good at pretty much anything. You guys could all play clerics and I think you'd have a blast.

But yes, what T1G said. Read the tutorial thread; I'll be posting more things as I type them up. Think of the general archetype of what you'd like to be, and I'll recommend some classes.
