What's new

Cube World!

Or you could.. I dunno... run around and explore normally, and get to vantage points to use the glider legit, like it's intended. <_<
I usually do. I wanted to explore the world so I could map some stuff out. Getting to the next zone to see the map was what I used it for mostly.

I hate grinding so this was a viable alternative for me for that situation. Others can use it or not as they wish.

The other zone is not going anywhere! :alien3: The fact that exploring and running around in an adventure game is considered "grinding" by some nowadays speaks volumes. (see other MMO thread)

(different playstyles for different folks, yeah yeah, I get it)

lol. I really don't know what people want anymore when it comes to games. They don't want fights to be difficult and they don't want to explore. They just want large numbers. Go play in excel.

Epic battles, hundreds of monsters coming at you at the same time and you can pull some attacks fluently. Too much power? Maybe...
But epicness? Quite epic.
In short, large scale battles in which you can participate in fluently. No waiting for actions or anything.
You neeed to explore the world to become a part of it, when you're part of it you can be part of the battles etc.

Maybe giant monsters 100x larger than you)? Why not, makes it even more epic.

If they'd do that then I'm sure they'd have a lot of people playing their game.

I'm Dainjre and I approve of this message.

This is why my new mage is level 5 and I've played quite a long time. I found a banana split so I ran until I found a jungle and a monkey. I found a candy bar of some sort so I ran until I found a desert and a desert runner. I doubt I'll do things to that extreme again, since doing those with no boat or hang glider was very tedious, but I'm having fun just running around and looking at stuff. I'll level eventually. That will not be what I do in wildstar because we must raid all the things, but with Cubeworld I don't see any reason at all to rush.

I had a lot of fun running around with a big TAB group, but I just didn't feel I earned any of those levels, and I'm not even talking about the ones I got while standing in town when the group killed stuff. Four of us rolled new characters together one night and that was pretty fun. The boss we killed at level 3ish I think was hard and took us forever, but it was a good time. It didn't at all feel like steamrolling things. Probably my least favorite thing to do in any multiplayer game is to chase a group of people around who are higher level or more advanced than me just soaking up xp and loot.

AGree with you. I hate chasing the higher levels missing the actual content. I may blow through quests and text at times but I enjoy my surroundings and get the idea of the text from playing through the areas.
