Wow Queens barely got hit, we have leaves and branches everywhere and some downed powerlines, but the damage is really minimal to what I've seen in NJ :<

The power was out from yesterday evening until early this morning. Seems like there isn't much damage here, just a downed portion of the fence and leaves everywhere. Hope everyone else got through it ok!

I'm fine and my parent's place didn't even lose power. Too far inland/out of it's path I suppose.

We do have relatives on the Connecticut coast which got hit pretty bad but they're all okay down there.

I'm also in RI, but it seems we've escaped mostly unscathed around this part of it. Maybe it's because I've been stuck inside doing a take-home midterm all day, but all I've noticed are really strong winds rattling the windows and rather heavy rainfall. It's been pretty clear at least around noon today though; not sure about earlier since I wasn't up XD.

So it seems like the worst has passed for most of the East Coasters. Is everyone ok? Does anyone need assistance? I know there isn't a lot I can do (living on the West Coast and all), but I'd love to help out somehow. In fact, I'm going to discuss donating half of the proceeds from a fundraiser for my Robotics team this weekend to Sandy victims. Hopefully the rest of the leadership of the club agrees with me. Anyway, stay safe, stay dry.

Even though the storm is over there was a lot of damage done. There are places in northern New Jersey and parts of New York that wont have power for 7 - 10 days. Not sure what happened farther up north
