Info is coming out on reddit.com about legendaries, thought i would compile it all into a single thread:

How to obtain the Legendary Recipes:
You buy the recipes for the "gifts" and the "Trophy's" from Miyani, they cost 10 Gold each. It will cost 20 gold to obtain both gift recipes

Where do I find Miyani?
Miyani is found next to the Mystic Forge in Lion's Arch.

What do I do once i have the 4 needed items?
Put all four items into the mystic forge, and receive your legendary!

supposedly 13 runs = stack of 250

13 Runs? That sounds like a grind :(

It's NOT! :D You remember dungeon armor right?

Helm: Auto Get from personal story completion
Chest: 130 tokens
Pants: 120 tokens
Boots - 90 tokens
Gloves - 90 tokens
Shoulder - 80 tokens

total: 510 tokens for full

1 run = 41 tokens (7 tokens each for 3 underbosses; 20 for final boss)

510 tokens / 41 tokens per run = 13 runs for full armor

which is ironically how many runs to get all your items for a legendary

not only do you get legendary items, you also get a full set of dungeon gear for 13 runs...not too shabby huh :p

"Spark of Rage" "This weapon is used to craft the legendary dagger Incinerator
"The Bard of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary focus The Minstrel
"Dawn of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary greatsword Sunrise
"The Colossus of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary hammer The Juggernaut
"Maw of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary spear Maw of the Deep
"Leaf of Kudzu of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary longbow Kudzu
"The Energizer of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary mace The Moot
"Chaos Gun of Rage" This weapon is used to craft the legendary pistol Quip

I don't want to waste gold switching Disciplines, what if I want more than one legendary?

Gifts - These are not soulbound and will be able to be sold on the AH
Bloodstone Shard - This will be soulbound.
Exotic Weapons - This will also be soulbound.
Final Legendary Weapon - Soulbound as well.

So, you can buy the two gifts(guaranteed to be pricey), but you will still have to grind out the 200 skill points, and the exotic weapon.
 
I made this for you guys to plan out what your going to need for each legendary while your leveling up!

For example....

I will try to get the Incenerator for my thief! So i need:

Dagger - Incinerator - Vial of Liquid Flame + Gift of Metal + Bloodstone Shard + Exotic Weapon

5X Molten Lodestone
5X Destroyer Lodestone
250X Flame Legion Charr Carving (Flame Citadel)
250X Ghost Pepper
250X Mithril Ore
250X Orichalcum Ore
250X Platinum Ore
100X Lump of Primordium

Cooking 400
Weaponsmith 400

200 Skill Points

and an "Spark of Rage"...wherever that is


the only problem i have with this is....i'm kind of pigeon holed into two disciplines if i want the legendary :(

.... I need new pants. This is the grindy, time consuming thing I want. This is what I live for in these games. I am a Korean in an Italians body.

they have not said....so assume yes just in case...

but it wouldn't make sense, because then you would have to grind up some other discplines if you wanted a legendary for your weapon switch...for me dual pistols :(

OMG I laughed so much. But honestly I think it's great the way they implemented them, Will look into the Quip for my engi or Bitfrost for my ele

But I had the impression the past stress test that the drop rate of dye was greatly increased, but I agree it will be long to make.

I think I'll just skip the legendary staff then. Building out my epic dye collection is waaay more important. :D

I can only max two disciplines, what if I want more than one legendary?

Gifts - These are not soulbound and will be able to be sold on the AH
Bloodstone Shard - This will be soulbound.
Exotic Weapons - This will also be soulbound.
Final Legendary Weapon - Soulbound as well.

So, you can buy the two gifts(guaranteed to be pricey), but you will still have to grind out the 200 skill points, and the exotic weapon.

I was under the impression that it was possible to max any profession, it was just possible to own 2 at the same time?
