SO that's officially a yes from me, and a +2 for 2 of my friends who are gonna come to 6 flags with us, adicia and is girlfriend.
 
Really upset I cant make the six flags trip so we need to plan something of equal awesomeness for Friday.

Real thing is, you should just bail on whatever your saturday plans are, and come to six flags (AND hang out on Friday).

These events don't happen frequently enough to use such a casual "I have plans" excuse :)

I would in a heartbeat if I didn't have to hear crap from my family because I ditched a "family get together". I will definitely make sure I am available for Friday hijinks. I'm about 45-60min from the Six Flags area so I can easily come down just for the day to hang out. I'll even take the day off if people end up showing up earlier in the day.

Well, you can literally say that you have your second family in town. Don't you meet up with you family like every weekend anyways? >_>

This is exactly why I would ditch them, but I'm not bringing my family drama here :emotescare:
Make your plans and figure out who is going to be around Friday and I'll make myself available.

Couple of questions for those if us booking flights:

1. Gyoin didn't you say you guys would be around most of Friday? I see a flight that arrives in Newark around noon so I could probably make it to the hotel for a late lunch or something.

2. Are we doing a lunch or something on Sunday? If so I can book a late afternoon / early evening flight back to Chicago.

I will personally be at the hotel on Thursday night, that way I can be available ALL DAY on Friday to herd everyone to the hotel. Everyone coming will have access to my phone number to call and text as needed in case there are any issues. It's worked for every other event I've organized, so I shall use this method so everyone has a contact person available.

In the past, we've done a group breakfast/brunch/lunch and then parted ways, a final meal so to speak. When, how, or where is usually spur of the moment, but we definitely have a last hurrah meal before we all split ways. This will definitely occur on Sunday. Be it at 10AM or 2PM will depend on roughly when people need to leave. I personally have a 6 hour drive, so I would prefer more of an 11AM/Noon meal so I can get back home prior to dark.

I'd say prepare your flights accordingly to a late afternoon/evening departure? Mostly because of TSA stuffs and getting to the airport early enough to not miss it. I am planning on leaving NJ by 2, maybe 3 at the latest, and Hotel Checkouts are usually 11, so I'd say let's plan around 11:30 or noon to have our send-off meal :)

Yes, there will be food. I am not wealthy enough to supply everyone food, so we will be doing some variation of going out / ordering massive amounts of pizza/chinese to the hotel. At the park, be prepared to pay an arm and a leg.
