Wow what a mess! Kind of glad Tristan exiled me from alttabme city before buying the game. Hang in there guys, hopefully it will get sorted out soon.
 
I love the pages and pages of copy-pasta tech chat in the EA forums. It's a convo with customer support through EA/Origin that goes like this:

Person: I want a refund
EA: Why
Person: Your global community manager stated in a press release i could have one if i'm not satisfied due to launch issues, i have a link to it
EA: You can certainly request a refund
Person: I would like to do so then
EA: We don't offer refunds for digital downloads, anything else i can help you with
Person: WTF?


Edit: Oh, and I never did get into the game this morning, over 2 hours of a continually resetting 2:09 timer. I assume it's due to the international launch that we were promised the servers would be ready for, just like the NA launch they would be ready for. I'm just glad that after today, there are not any more launch dates... well aside from that underpopulated "Eurasia" place... but that shouldn't be an issue.. right?
 
Weird, I'm building up my city next to yours while I'm typing this, and I only just logged in maybe 20 minutes ago.

By the way, I was just getting started with my town when I get the message that some arsonists from your city are on their way to mine. I didn't have any firefighters, since it was too soon into the game, so your arsonists were running free, burning down some of my people's workplaces.
Then the game gives me a news flash, telling me that there are jobs available in your city.
How convenient.
 
My income per hour was a little low... don't worry about re-building those workplaces... come on over to Pleasedontcrashville... you and your money will fit right in.
 
Ha Scott's city was sending me shit tons of criminals yesterday had to build a damn chopper.

Xi's arsonist crew visited my town five times in less than an hour. Good grief!

The best part is, in my city, i have 80%+ residential happiness, ~45,000 people, an excess of jobs, and education. My crime is crazy low, it's more than handled by 2 minimally upgraded police stations. My criminals like my city so much, they travel out of town to do crime. Mayor of the year? ehh? ehh?
 
I finally made it into North America West 1 last night, and created a private region just for practice. So far I made two cities with pops around 50K each, running pretty well. Are you guys in Xi's region on West 2? Sorry about grabbing that plot and abandoning. I think I screwed up what I wanted to do on the map in like 5 minutes.
 
We have a region on West 1 and 2...mostly just screwing around and learnin the ropes...at least when we can login, which at the moment today is NEVER.
 
Can I get an invite to the server on West 2? I made one for those of us that had zero luck with servers on day 1, but still wanted to play in a non pub march.

When I said West 2 I was referring to your region, and I haven't been able to log in at all today.
 
Alright, I follow. If anyone needs an invite to West 2 (temp use while servers are having issues), hop on West 2 and I'll send you an invite as soon as I have a chance.
