GW2 So, has anyone changed their profession after BWE?

Changing your choice on release... AGAIN?

I will be sticking with Mesmer as my main. It's basically all that I played during this beta weekend. I love it in sPvP but I'm not very good with it yet! I am so glad that the way GW2 works, you can basically build the characters to fit how YOU play, and I definitely have a different playstyle than most do when I play games. I tend to be 180 from the norm and quickly realized that I need to just find what fits my style.
 
Can't decide between Guardian and Ranger, from pvp aspect of the game, I loved my Guardian in spvp but ehh in some WvW situations, didn't try the Ranger in spvp but was fun as hell in WvW. I don't know what to play lol :confused:

Not necessary switching, but I discovered that I liked playing a warrior (probably Norn) as much, if not more, than my Asura Mesmer. I'll likely be going a straight 50/50 with a focus on PVP for the asura (which I enjoyed more as a mesmer) and a pve focus for the warrior
 
The BWE3 was my first opportunity to play but I'll probably go with a Sylvari Necro as my main. I was able to try the Sylvari Necro, Human Mesmer, Norn Warrior and Charr Ranger over the weekend. I wanted to try an engineer and elementalist but didn't have time. The necro and warrior were my favorites. I liked the ranger but the Charr for some reason didn't interest me. The mesmer didn't do anything for me but I suspect it was my weapon choice.
 
I still want to have a norn ranger, I had a lot of fun with it once I got a bow. However I did REALLY like the human elementalist so I am not sure which will be my main now. I am leaning more toward elementalist but it really is so hard to decide! I spent a lot of time in the human area this weekend and loved it.

So my first choice was an Asura engineer. After playing a Norn Warrior and a Sylvari Elementalist I was almost about to change till I played deeper into the Asura Engineer and i'm now hooked. So I will be sticking with my first choice. I will have a Norn or Charr Warrior as an alt. I haven't decided which yet.

Elly forever! I ended up changing race to Asura because of this light cultural armor:

I was going to have one of every race and my main would be a human, but I'm going to stumble on the silly Asura wagon too. ^^

Now my lineup for release looks like this,
Asura Elementalist
Human Ranger
Sylvari Necro
Asura Thief
Human Mesmer
 
I went in thinking guardian, and played that mostly in order to experiment with the different utility skills, at the cost of not trying out other professions like I had planned. It was fun, but I had a surprisingly good time with the rifle/two-axe warrior. I'm totally confused now, and I still haven't even tried out the thief or necromancer.

I went in thinking a Rifle, Axe/Warhorn Charr Warrior and came out with Rifle, Sword/Warhorn Sylvari Warrior. I thought I was definitely going Charr because of the cool running animation, but I dunno, some of the animations are kind of weird. I was just gonna roll a Sylvari to try out the character creator but after seeing the crazy glowing mushroom head I knew that's what I was gonna do at release. Looks badass lol. Plus their story stuff seemed way cooler.

Axe was nice with the Vulnerability stacking with the Rifles, but the Sword stacks bleeding with rifle, and there's a cheap Arms tactic to make bleeds 50% longer, so I went with Sword instead. It's nice with the closer, the cripple with a 1 sec immobile to keep em in place for Flurry on them while they're still Vulnerable from Rifle. Lots of fun. The sword closer goes SO far, and is way more fun than eviscerate, and let's my allies catch up too.

What weapon did you use? I only got to play around with the hammer and sword/warhorn combo.
 
Am going to be playing the Sylvari necro - Withered Petals, yet, going to be locking my other four slots down with the names that are carrying over from GW1 : Bladed Petals - Asuran war, Shadow Dusk Petals - Human Thief, Shy Petals - Sylvari mesmer, and finally Blessed Petals - Asuran Guardian.

Will push my necro the hardest... Luuuurvin it... and was so close to rank 10 in sPvP before the event... kinda wish I hadn't run it, and just got more sPvP in :)
