The Official Tr1age Juice Thread

Btw this isn't exactly what I am going to be following but you can do this for 3 days and it is close enough for those days:

But...but...where's the protein!?!!?


I timed this with Recovery Week so my workout is minimal. As well this is NOT what I will be following to the T. I will have protein in there. But the recipes of the person helping me are not for public sharing right now because she is getting them published. I am her Guinea pig :p

Also remember it is only 3 days of cleanse then rest is juice and raw and shakes.
 
A low-protein, low calorie fast without malnutrition should have massive health benefits when done regularly, reducing cancer, diabetes and heart disease risks by lowering human IGF-1 levels! I support it totally.

Hah...maybe you could send the UK a shipment too! Same problem when I lived there!
I might with some tomatoes too... we have so many and even when you make all of your tomato products home made (even ketchup!) you can STILL never use them all without giving a ton away.
 
This is totally nuts. More power to you, I'd quit by the end of the first day.

Are you prepping multiple days in advance? Do you limit how much you consume per day or every time you are hungry you just drink the juice?

Hmm. I might try that 3-day one just to see if I can deal with it. My main hurdle would be the prep work daily before going into the office.. I'm not at all a morning person, so a weekend would work better as a trial run. Some of those juices sound like they'd taste nasssstyyyy though. =/

We tried some pretty awful ones when Whizzbang and I did it. The mean green recipe in particular was so horrible. I don't know how long it took me to choke down one portion and I nearly lost it multiple times. Picture those people on reality shows trying to eat all sorts of nasty crap. I thought I could just sort of chug it and be done but...no. I found that there aren't enough apples in the world to make up for the taste of certain juiced greens. Blech.
 
Always thought about trying something like this , though i don't think i could get the protein i need 3 days isn't that big of a deal ,Might give it a try but try some more protein rich fruits and veggies

I prep the day of in the morning. It is about 2 hours of prep. Give or take for fuck ups, machine shit, and not knowing where something is. This includes cleaning after. There are 5 drinks, one every two hours.

All personal taste I guess, I can use carrots for filler in almost any juice and like it. I think I mentioned before my favorite is carrots, red pepper and oranges with a lemon thrown in. But I really love carrots both raw and cooked.
 
what amounts are you drinking for each snack,mid morning snack,dinner ect


Each drink is 16 oz or more.

I ran into an issue this morning however, I am getting extreme boughts of nausea from the ginger carrot juice. I think my body has a hard time with such a fast intake of potent vitamins. Soooooo am going to be diluting my next juice with water to feel out my body.

Everyone is different. It isn't about winning or losing, it is about seeing what works with you and what makes it so you can follow through. Just breath and enjoy it. If something feels off, it is, and adjust.
 
An hour later 12:30 PM: I have shit 3 times already. This probably has to do with the fact that I ate my sisters raw shit last night and all clean, and then my body kinda wanted to expel what I drank this morning. So far I can say this is not soo pleasant ;P

What kind of things are you tracking while doing this? Are you doing before/aftrer weight & bodyfat % as well?

I am not really worried about any of that really. At this point I just want to get through it. I did step on the scale this morning and it said:

163.6lbs
14.1 Fat %
23.5 BMI

so I guess I will track that. I could do a BMI thing too I suppose if that interests you.
