RP GAMES The Resistance (beta 1.0)

Your logic as to why it would make me look more like a spy to vote against a mission that was doomed to failure (by design, according to Kismet) completely escapes me.

Based on the raw data, nothing is known for sure except that at least one among Trist, T1G, and Dire is a spy. Since I don't think Dire would reveal himself as a spy (at least, I wouldn't if I were in his position), this mission seems a lock for success. Spies may try to vote against it, but again, I think that would be foolish since it would be too revealing.

The spies will have to win 2 games is a row once this mission succeeds. Tr1age's attempts to inject more uncertainty into a relatively secure position does not bode well for his loyalty to the Resistance.

Muahahaha! I became so devious overnight! Or did I? =)
Btw, "what the hell is steam already?" Doesn't anyone know? =p

Lol kel @the wiki. I think the steam reference is more of the valve games variety.

My 2c: I was joking earlier accusing tristan of being a spy, but right now I am leaning towards that being true. The hard part about this game is that almost any statement that doesn't have the words spy or resistance can be taken from the point of view either side.

That could mean that you are a spy and will have success by failing the mission and blame it on dire thus ensuring your status as a spy for later, or it could mean you are resistance and believe dire to be so also thus ensuring a resistance win.

Handle Yo' shit Tristan.
I DID and we freakin lost the damn mission
Did he handle his shit to make the mission fail? Or did he handle his shit and the mission failed anyway.

so if this works out we may have a path to victory...
Any questions?
We as in spies, or we as in resistance.

So my dilemma is that how do you know what point of view the person is talking from. This is compounded by the fact that we only get 5 chances at most to figure out where all 5 people stand. I guess we get to see if the mission is a go or not soon.

You are quite right!

And as it turns out,

Dire's team has been approved!

Who needs mission objectives anyway?

These were the votes:
Kel: Yes
Kismet: Yes
Dire: Yes
Tig: Yes
Tristan: No

Now I need Kel's and Dire's PMs for the mission's outcome (considering that Dire probably went down under his blanket for a good night's sleep, it may be a while until I have the results).

You are over thinking it. It is safe to assume that spies wouldn't be so brazen as to post what amounts to an outright confession. I would actually be more suspicious of an individual who was going out of their way to avoid ambiguous pronouns.

For me, this is pretty damning evidence of Tristan being a spy. The 2 man teams favor the Resistance and this is a very important mission for the Resistance to win.

I'm not sure at all about the second spy yet, but Trist's sexiness unfortunately belongs to the dark side.

This proves nothing. The fact that you are calling me out proves to me you cannot be trusted. So far I am looking at Kel and T1G as spys. Kismet is either playing very coy or very smart. Dire I dunno he is always writing too much and all meta, but he is instigating a lot so yeah. This mission will either confirm or deny my suspicions of two people for me though.

Anyway proof is in the pudding so I guess matter of time now.

If you can provide any sort of reasoning that would cause a member of the Resistance to block this mission, I'd be happy to back off on my accusation.

YOU and the possibility that T1G is planning this so he can go on a mission himself next round. I truly believe you are a spy and am up in the air about T1G Dire and Kis.

If I was a spy, it would be suicidal to cause a 2 man mission to fail. There is a chance that Dire is a spy, but I don't think he'd be foolish enough to make this mission fail.

You may very well be correct about T1G, which is why I want 2 successful missions for the Resistance before he gets control of team creation.

Remember only 2 of 5 missions have taken place thus far. So, the spies -- if they are risk takers, which many spies are -- could theorhetically pass another 2 man mission (up next) and still win the game while perpetuating confusion as to whom the spies/resistance truly are. Remember, resistance needs 3 successful missions to win the kit and kaboodle. ijs.

And for today's record, I am not a spy. :p

Kismet is either playing very coy or very smart.

If I am playing 'coy' that means I am shying away from revealing my identity.
If I am playing 'smart' that also means I am shying away from revealing my identity.
Either way, I am the ONLY one in this bunch (aside from Jia who is GM) that has actually played this game IRL.
SO... I have the upperhand!
OR... I really am as aloof as I appear outside of this forum game *grin*, and talk as much as I do on mumble to make Tristan cray-cray!

This just put you much higher on my list I totally had no idea you played this before.

More head "aspolosions" abound:

Mission #3 fails!
Votes:
1 x Success
1 x Failure

Team: Dire, Kel

Resistance: 1
Spies: 2

Next team leader: Tig - pick three people for Mission #4!

Fuck…just fuck ok? I was SO SURE we had a resistance game-win on this one. Maybe I should’ve picked T1G instead? (I revised this over the course of writing this post. In hindsight should’ve picked Kis).

Right, well I guess I’m calling out Kel as a spy then.
I know for sure he’s a spy, but that’s not enough for you guys. I can’t even say “Don’t trust us both!” because there’s another spy in the other 3 somewhere. I still can’t believe it, so this is going to take some time to process before I fling around any more accusations. But I guess I’m sort of forced to go over it all now anyway .
Regardless of what you believe about me personally, you can’t trust me any more, and you can’t use any of my suggestions without going back over EVERYTHING that I’ve said to date .
All I can do is go over the evidence that supports me and condemns him…
I’m thinking Kel was doing a double-bluff play from the start of this misssion. It’s only after we started questioning his odd behaviour that he suddenly ‘appears’ from the abyss. Well you know why people are typically silent in mafia? So that people can’t go back over what they said and call them on their shit! Radio silence my arse…

We made a mistake on the last mission, right? He only called us on it AFTER the fact, AFTER there was nothing we could do about it. His justification? To gain his trust…well that’s just great if your trust is worth anything...

I don't think he'd be foolish enough to make this mission fail.
You’re joking right? This is a GREAT move for a spy. This is effectively this-game’s version of getting the town to lynch me! I’ve spent the whole game trying to get open cooperation and discussion between the group…and Kel just pops in at the end with accusations (and admittedly what appears to be some pretty good advice too). It works like this – two different spies implicate the same innocent person (me), making the innocent look guilty.

So what? Assuming I’m telling the truth, that would make Kel a spy and one of Tristan/T1G spies. Tristan being the most likely.
T1G: I told you. I Fucking told you this would happen (in the interests of openness, I have been discussing the game with T1G as of this mission).

Well, I’m going defend myself from whatever mud is thrown my way, but I’m going to have to sit back from any major decisions because of this shit. I will vote against any group that takes Kel along, for sure.
