First, Surge and horrid, cheap Tequilla were made for each other.
Something magic happens when you put them together, like a greedy woman and an ugly rich man.
My new project for my last week in Japan is to try as many kinds of beers & go to as many breweries as possible.
It begins with Pink and Blue, a couple interesting brews from Hokkaido.
The blue was very light and kind of amazing that it was a beer at all. Delivered a great taste and kind of like a Kölsch with a lot less hop and some kind of berry in it. I'd be tempted to say wheat, but it lacks that traditional fruity yeast flavor.
Honestly a great choice because the light fruit and flower flavors are natural and unique.
So very delicately and amazingly brewed with no food coloring listed on the bottle, just potatoes & barley & special flowers / herbs

Next was the pink beer, not as amazing, but still a feat. Kind of like a weak amber with red currant and other slight tart fruit hints. However the main taste was a really darn good amber then lightened by fruit finishes. This one was more impressive on the palate to make up for the easier color.

Two great beers to celebrate my trip to Tsukiji fish market.
Didn't buy any fish, was a long trip home, but did buy a sexy knife and some real fresh wasabi~
