I like GOOOOOLLLLD!
I know it's not coming out till spring 2014 at the earliest, but now that we have a pricing model and set box price for their standard edition, I think it would be fun to know how much you want to pay for your copy.

We know the standard edition will be 60 bucks US. That is digital copy or physical box. To me that says around 80 or 100 for the collectors edition. Will there be more levels to the pricing, like digital deluxe with some perks but not all of them like GW2 did? What do you think?

I will be buying the CE physical box for sure. I want all the things for the game I am most excited for.

Unless there is a weighty in-game benefit to buying a collectors edition, I don't do it. I love you, Wildstar, but I'm not taking another 100+ dollar risk.

The only reason I didn't get the physical GW2 CE box was that I got everything I wanted from the digital deluxe except the statue. I wasn't gonna pay double the price for a statue from GW2. I probably will with Wildstar.

But you can just sculpt your own for the cost of some sculpey and a bit of time.. oh wait! :alien12: I'll wait and see. I sold my Darth Malgus statue to a local comic store for about 80$ so in my eyes I got my CE money back for the most part.

True. That reminds me I need to put some serious time in on the sculpt this weekend.

Depends on if a pre-release beta option exists for preorders or just collectors editions. I'm sure there will be a collector's edition, but it depends on what is included. I've been going for the digital copies lately.

All depends on what each one comes with early access in game perks ect ect so im going to wait and see but most likely Digital deluxe or the physical collectors

What sucks is that the digital standard and physical standard are the same price. Don't try to tell me it costs the same for you to upload digitally to me vs making and producing a box. Digital standard for the same price is really just the company gouging me and telling me to fuck off and give them money. Digital should be less.

Store prices = transportation and stocking fees.
Digital = convenience for your laziness.

Shitty justifications are shitty.

Retailer protest. I have heard of Isolated cases of retailers refusing to carry games that sell for less digitally.
This is probably the most valid reason I have heard. Just a lucky coincidence for the game maker that their profit margin is higher.

If the digital version is available a day or two ahead of the physical copy to give time to dl and be ready to go at 12:00:01 launch day, I'll probably do that. Otherwise, you'll find me in line at Gamestop to pick up my preordered copy.

They have been countering this by having a "pre-purchase" code on the receipt of a box to enable X amount of time on the game before a box code is required (IE 7 days). That's what happened with GW2.

I will buy a digital edition, because digital. Obviously superior to some kind of disk you put in a pop-out drink holder.

Probably digital standard or maybe deluxe, depending on how i feel lol. Would do physical but knowing me i wouldn't put it in the case and probably scratch it to hell haha

This will probably come down to what you get with them for me. I honestly don't care about books or statues or soundtracks, so there needs to be some good in game perks to make me want to upgrade.

I would expect that when you buy a physical copy, you will be able to log in to your account on the company website and also have access to a download. So buying digital, you'd pay the same without the snazzy box art.

Art makes me feel feelings... and I don't like that feel.

It really depends on what's in the DD vs the CE. Usually there aren't enough in-game perks beyond the DD to warrant spending the money on a CE. I'll will likely at least buy the DD though since those usually offer some in-game perks that are very beneficial when you're first starting out.
