Just some words of advice from someone who has played the recruitment game. You need to sell AltTabMe as an excellent group of people and recruit without many requrements. Do in game questions and ask things there. Queue up for Pugs with TAB members on "server only" as well, you should post on the forums, "Looking to join forces with other like minded players, we have the inferstructure, forums, mumble servers, and other necessities to make a guild/circle work. Here are the players we have currently ready to raid: LIST THEM.

You basically tote AltTabMe as being willing to accommodate everything they need and give them resources to make it happen. You also need 1 or 2people in charge who are basically ALWAYS playing. If you are leading and not seen online a lot you won't be taken seriously. the most successful guilds have the most active officers/leaders/people in charge of the behind the scenes. This means dealing with interpersonal dramas and the like. Now AltTabMe has a knack for working as a group but for the look of it you need people who are "designated council" so to say.

So when you approach the forums make sure you have ALL ducks in a row in terms of WHAT WE OFFER (bullet point it) What you PLAY TO DO (bullet point it) and WHAT PLAYERS YOU HAVE AND WHAT ROLES THEY FILL (bullet point it). Then list what DKP system you will use, how loot is distributed, and how everyone has a voice(even if they don't). This way they feel like they get to contribute to this "collaborative effort" versus just joining some randos who can't get their shit together. Sell it like an OCCUPY movement rather than a corporate job.

Clear precise and to the point. Also a "Contact ME(person who posts) helps a lot)

This way they know multiple ways to get in touch with you, brings them to the site, and also allows them to easily get started both in game and out. YOU MUST REQUIRE MUMBLE. Voice comms for this shit is a MUST. So push that hard. Having a huge server helps bring others to our play ground as well since it costs money.

Also when people apply, be looser with your restrictions, accept them if they seem nice, and go from there, it is easier to remove a bad apple later. And they show quickly. And with the "applications" just tell them it helps to keep track of players and DKP etc.

I wouldn't call it something else than TAB, I would promote is as a "community effort" and tell other guilds we will make forums for them as well so everyone feels included.

Be excited when someone applies rather than our normal "get to know people" shpeal. Talk to them, say HI! WELCOME! GLAD YOU APPLIED CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON MUMBLE, I WILL BE ON AT THIS TIME. Always nice to know that shit to make it easier to interact and chat!

So I hope that helps, if any other questions I will be glad to lend a hand or read over posts prior to them going out.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input man, I'm just trying to get us raiding more quickly with this circle idea, and if it did work we would likely gain recruits from it as well.

Oh I totally understand and hopefully this kinda stuff will help.

EPGP because of addons and being transferred to Wildstar i heard t1g talk about.

I really want to raid! and here is the thing, I can acomodate my schedule to Raid, as in if we set days and hours on stone I will Fix my working schedule acordingly BUT if we start moving things because X or Y... then it starts to fall appart for me.
For now my plan is firstly get to cap lol, then I'll just gear up and be available for whatever schedule is setup and I'll roll from there.

Now, I have the opposite situation of Thovarisk. I can't accommodate my schedule and I can't attend tuesday & thursday raid times. I won't be raid-ready until probably the end of the month so I'm not expecting a change in anything, but are there plans to form a second group etc, or will I (sadly) have to find another group to raid with, when capable?

I would assume and this is from an outsider perspective since I stopped playing for work, that since they are reaching outward to make a full first group, that a second group is not a thought at the moment. However like those who stepped up to make this happen you could do the same for a group 2.[DOUBLEPOST=1404408932,1404408577][/DOUBLEPOST]And wow someone has a bone to pick with that thread. DAMN that was a tear down. :p Maybe you can report it as off topic and get it removed.

What a little bitch, what is their problem? "Hello, I'm psychic AND cynical - let me tell you your intentions and future!"
Somebody has been in too many petty, failed guilds obviously...
Poor guy.

Um, is anyone else not able to post on the official forums right now? It says, "you cannot reply to this topic" where the reply button should be and, "you cannot start a new topic" where new topic should be. UGH I want to respond so badly.

Please ignore the naysayer for now, I will address it once I am able to post again.

Yup, these are the people that make me not want to make posts anymore haha.

But that said, don't go too hard against the guy. It will be incredibly difficult to crate a raiding environment without a merge.
