Just some words of advice from someone who has played the recruitment game. You need to sell AltTabMe as an excellent group of people and recruit without many requrements. Do in game questions and ask things there. Queue up for Pugs with TAB members on "server only" as well, you should post on the forums, "Looking to join forces with other like minded players, we have the inferstructure, forums, mumble servers, and other necessities to make a guild/circle work. Here are the players we have currently ready to raid: LIST THEM.
You basically tote AltTabMe as being willing to accommodate everything they need and give them resources to make it happen. You also need 1 or 2people in charge who are basically ALWAYS playing. If you are leading and not seen online a lot you won't be taken seriously. the most successful guilds have the most active officers/leaders/people in charge of the behind the scenes. This means dealing with interpersonal dramas and the like. Now AltTabMe has a knack for working as a group but for the look of it you need people who are "designated council" so to say.
So when you approach the forums make sure you have ALL ducks in a row in terms of WHAT WE OFFER (bullet point it) What you PLAY TO DO (bullet point it) and WHAT PLAYERS YOU HAVE AND WHAT ROLES THEY FILL (bullet point it). Then list what DKP system you will use, how loot is distributed, and how everyone has a voice(even if they don't). This way they feel like they get to contribute to this "collaborative effort" versus just joining some randos who can't get their shit together. Sell it like an OCCUPY movement rather than a corporate job.
Clear precise and to the point. Also a "Contact ME(person who posts) helps a lot)
This way they know multiple ways to get in touch with you, brings them to the site, and also allows them to easily get started both in game and out. YOU MUST REQUIRE MUMBLE. Voice comms for this shit is a MUST. So push that hard. Having a huge server helps bring others to our play ground as well since it costs money.
Also when people apply, be looser with your restrictions, accept them if they seem nice, and go from there, it is easier to remove a bad apple later. And they show quickly. And with the "applications" just tell them it helps to keep track of players and DKP etc.
I wouldn't call it something else than TAB, I would promote is as a "community effort" and tell other guilds we will make forums for them as well so everyone feels included.
Be excited when someone applies rather than our normal "get to know people" shpeal. Talk to them, say HI! WELCOME! GLAD YOU APPLIED CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON MUMBLE, I WILL BE ON AT THIS TIME. Always nice to know that shit to make it easier to interact and chat!
So I hope that helps, if any other questions I will be glad to lend a hand or read over posts prior to them going out.
Good luck!
