Introduce yourself!

Hey folks, Nadrik here! Thought I'd introduce myself since I'll be stalking the forums for the next couple days before potentially applying to the guild. I was looking through info on the upcoming MMO WildStar and found your recruitment post on WildStar Central.

I've been pretty transient since leaving my previous long-time guild, who I was with for almost 10 years. (I just can't do the RP thing any longer. Great people, but my days of talking like a pirate are over.) Generally just joining random guilds in games I happen to be playing, mostly just for someone to play along with. But I'm looking for a solid home now, a group I can move to different games with. So far from what I've read you guys seem like a good fit!

Anyhow, I'm Mike. 30 y/o Software Engineer, former USAF, current beer/steak/metal enthusiast. I've played just about every MMO since UO, but got my PC gaming start with DOOM and Quake. I do have all of the current games you folks list as playing, though WoW has been my go-to for the past couple weeks. I could be talked into picking GW2 back up again (and have thought about doing so on multiple occasions), but my main reason for joining would be WildStar.

That's all for now, I'll see you all around the forums! :)

Heya Nadrik ! Just a heads up, if it's Wildstar you're getting into I'm actually heading to PAX East and plan on trying out the demo, be it at the convention itself or at the Curse Afterparty. I'll be sure to keep you (and many others here) informed on my views at least. Maybe that'll help some of the hype :)

Awesome! I only just really started following the game closely, but I'm certainly interested in hearing firsthand experiences!

Welcome to AltTabMe, Nadrik!:)

I like that you're introducing yourself and taking your time before you apply to join the guild/community! So many people tend to skip that step, but it's something that we pay close attention to when a person applies - so I'd say you're off to a perfect start! ^^

... but my days of talking like a pirate are over.

Bummer ye scallywag! I been searchin' the high seas for a kindred salty dog to help me fire cannons o'er Tr1age's porthole!
But welcome to the community anyway, happy to have you here ;).

TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY... "officially Sept. 19th"... BUT ANYDAY FOR KISMET... Yarrrrrrr!

PS - The points you lost in my book for no longer talking like a pirate were offset by your steampunk stylin' avatar. Waxed mustaches FTW!

Haha it's actually the logo of a "local" beer to the Baltimore area. Very easy way to identify locals, not many outside of MD know of the good ole Natty Boh.

It's the best worst beer around! ;)

Hi everyone, I'm DJ. I enjoy long walks on the beach and poking dead animals with sticks.

I actually don't play much Guild Wars 2 - I found out about AltTabMe on the latest Podcast about SimCity. I'm looking forward to joining the region(s) if possible. :)

Welcome DJ... nice to add another 40-something to the club. Now we have 2 adults to chaperone these hooligans!

Hi, I'm Matt or Makecontact, or Make, or whatever you wanna call me. I like games, gaming, MMOs etc, and I always look for new forums to explore - I've also been trying to join a gaming community for a while now and the other ones I found were not that active at all, so this looks pretty good to me.

See ya around.

Hey guys, my name is Kellan. I'm a former City of Heroes player still trying to find a new online community. Since I keep finding myself back in GW2, I was drawn to Arcanix. I haven't applied yet, but I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing you all in game. :)

No... that's not a creepy way to welcome someone to the Community at all Tristan. Not at all . ;)
Though, for us theatrical types... well, "Life is a Cabaret old chum, come to the Cabaret!"

Welcome Kellan, looking forward to meeting you on the forum and in GW2.
