The Queen's Wrath event is live Figured a quick and dirty thread should help cut down on repeats and basic questions :)
Where is it?
At the Tower. You'll find that the previously blocked events area behind the Bounty Board is now open. At the far end of the courtyard you'll find the Queen's Emmisary waiting next to her ship.
What are the rewards?
  • Two Shaders
  • One piece of armour for your class (Bond, Cape and the Titan's belt sash thingy)
  • Three weapons, an Assault Rifle, Pic1 Pic2, a Scout Rifle Pic1 Pic2 and a Handcannon Pic1 Pic2. All level 20 Rares.
Will add the armour pieces as soon as I get a spare moment: You get a special mission, level 24 with the 'Epic' modifier, after completing a bounty that rewards you with a legendary item:

How do I get these?
You need to earn ranks via doing the Queen's specific bounties found at the Bounty Board. These are in addition to your normal Vanguard and Crucible bounties. There is a timer for a refresh, most likely we will get more the next day.
Rank 1 is set at 1000. The first 6 Bounties earn you 500 rep.

Ok so I need a final head count of people as Saturday approaches. You should be 26 or higher with decent gear, guns to overlap on several damage types, ammo synthesis boxes and some snacks because it will be a learning process.

As of now there are 3 definites which includes myself and 2 of the EoA guys..

Forgot to mention I was thinking 6 or 7 pm EST. I'll be around all day regardless but that should be a reasonable time.

Xur is located under the future war cult and down the stairs next to the Dead Orbit vendor - at the back of the bar area - with seats etc..

I bought my helm because that is just crazy crazy good perk (always radar ADS with primary?!). That said, I need that Auto Rifle. I am currently 19 coins short.

I need 2 people to do all 3 weekly heroic strikes with me (22, 24, and 28). That will net me 18 of my 19 coins. I need these today, as I won't be around tomorrow unfortunately for a bulk of the morning/afternoon.

Who wants in? I need people who are willing to do all three, that means a minimum level of 26. If no one is around, I'll probably post a destiny lfg on one of the lfg sites
 
Apparently for doing the 28 weekly, you get 9, but you can only get 9 out of the weeklys and not 3, 6, and 9..

Crap.

I should've just bought the gun instead of the helm.... :(
 
I finally had time to play more than like 8 minutes at a time this week and I very much enjoyed myself. I intentionally avoided the hype around this game, so I didn't come into it expecting it be anything but a decent Halo game and I think it's delivered far more than I expected. There are a lot of neat systems in here; and while the mission structure is a little bland and more than a little repetitive, the moment-to-moment gameplay is enjoyable enough that it doesn't really seem to matter. In addition, I really appreciate the snack-sized gameplay. You can sit down for a half-hour to knock out a bounty or whatever and feel like you accomplished something, or you can play for hours and then just... stop for a bit between missions without feeling like you need to complete a plot element or reach some progression goal. It does work against me though, I've owned it for like two weeks and I'm only level 11 because of WildStar raids and just being too busy in general. Hopefully that'll clear up now that work has quieted down a little.
